Overview

Homing Pigeon is a Story NPC in Crimson Desert. Some people avoid it, but it's a highly capable wild bird. Its metallic-colored feathers look more brilliant up close. With its intelligence, it can distinguish between different regions. Also, the ability to take off from a standstill is possessed only by a few wild birds, including pigeons. It inhabits all of Pywel except for the Crimson Desert.

Taming the Pigeon
Pigeons were added to the tameable pet roster in Patch 1.04.00. Capture uses the Sotdae of Bond, the bird-feeder item unlocked through the Pororin faction quest line. The Homing Pigeon inhabits all of Pywel except the Crimson Desert (Region), so a feeder placed almost anywhere outside the desert eventually pulls one in.
Where to Place the Feeder
Pigeons land most consistently at elevated, open positions: cliff tops, rooftops, and ridge lines. The cliff edge at the Greymane Camp and the cliff areas around Howling Hill are reliable starting placements because the same flock also pulls jays, sparrows, and crows. Mountain ridges in the Pailune region produce additional landings when the feeder is placed near a clear flight path.
Food and Trust
Pigeons accept the standard small-bird food list of grains, fruits, and insects. Barley gives roughly 25 trust per accepted feed and is the most efficient grain to stockpile. Refill the feeder until trust caps, walk up to the bird, and confirm the take prompt to register the pigeon as a pet. The daily feeding cap and broader bird-taming workflow are covered on the Pet Taming Guide.
