Overview

Halssius Conflux is a location in Crimson Desert where two rivers of the Halmius region converge into a single powerful waterway. The combined currents flow with a mighty roar, nurturing fertile soils and supporting a rich variety of plant and animal life along the banks. The area sits in a scenic river valley southeast of St. Halssius's House of Healing in the Hernand region.

The Conflux is best known for hosting one of the game's Ancient Ruins puzzles. Atop a hill overlooking the river junction stands a stone dial surrounded by weathered statues holding spears. Solving the puzzle here unlocks a teleport waypoint and awards an Abyss Artifact, a valuable resource used to upgrade skills and equipment.

Location and How to Get There

Halssius Conflux is located along the northern bank of the Nas River, directly southeast of St. Halssius's House of Healing. The ruins appear on the world map as a Mysterious Energy icon, shown as a white marker with a question mark inside. Several routes lead to the site:

• From Hernand: Ride your horse east from the city toward the House of Healing, then continue southeast into the valley. The ruins are visible from the road once you approach the river junction.

• From the southern Abyss Nexus: Teleport to the nearest Abyss Nexus south of the Conflux and ride north. The ruins are large and easy to spot once you are close.

• From the House of Healing: Head directly southeast from the entrance. The Conflux is a short ride away, sitting on a hill overlooking where the two rivers merge.

You will know you have reached the right location when you see a large stone dial with three concentric rings set into the ground, surrounded by statues holding spears. A tall central statue dominates the middle of the platform.

Landscape and Environment

The convergence point of the two rivers creates a distinctive landscape. The combined water flow has carved out a fertile valley with lush vegetation along both banks. The area is relatively calm compared to other parts of Hernand, though wild creatures still inhabit the surrounding woods and riverbanks. The hilltop ruins sit above the tree line, offering panoramic views of the river junction below.

Travelers visiting the Conflux should note that the terrain between the House of Healing and the ruins includes some rocky slopes and uneven ground. Horseback is the fastest way to cover the distance, though the path is manageable on foot.

The Statue Puzzle

The main attraction at Halssius Conflux is the Halssius Conflux Statue Puzzle Solution. The puzzle consists of a large stone dial set into the ground with three concentric rings. A central statue holds a spear that shines golden light onto specific tiles on the ground, indicating which symbols need to be aligned. Surrounding statues also illuminate with golden light between rounds, pointing their spears at target symbols.

Solving the puzzle requires two abilities: Nature's Grasp (to clear broken stone columns blocking the dial) and Stab (to drive your sword into the central post and rotate the dial). Both abilities are unlocked through main quest progression. The puzzle involves three phases of symbol alignment: first a single symbol (the golden coin), then a second symbol (the scale), and finally a third symbol (the horse icon).

Rewards

• Abyss Artifact: Awarded upon completing the statue puzzle. Abyss Artifacts are used to upgrade skills and, later in the game, equipment at the Blacksmith.

• Abyss Cresset teleport waypoint: Unlocking the Abyss Cresset of Halssius Conflux adds it as a fast-travel destination on the world map, making return visits to the area much faster.

• St. Halssius's House of Healing - the major landmark to the northwest, featuring its own hidden treasure chest containing the Blackwing Leather Boots

• Halssius Apothecary - a nearby medicine facility

• Halssius Trading Post - a trading hub in the surrounding area

• Sanctum of Penitence - another nearby structure with hidden loot

Tips

• Unlock the Abyss Cresset here early in your playthrough. The teleport waypoint saves significant travel time when exploring the eastern half of Hernand.

• If you are visiting the House of Healing for the Familiar Curses questline, take a detour southeast to solve the puzzle while you are in the area.

• The Abyss Artifact reward is worth collecting as soon as possible, since skill upgrades compound in value the earlier they are acquired.

• Both required abilities (Nature's Grasp and Stab) are unlocked through main quest progression. If you cannot interact with the ruins, continue the story until these abilities become available.
