Overview
Expanding your inventory is essential in Crimson Desert, where the slot-based system quickly fills up with crafting materials, weapons, armor, and consumables. You start the game with 50 inventory slots shared across all three playable characters. The primary way to gain more slots is by collecting bags of various sizes from quests, vendors, and story progression.

Consumables and materials can stack up to 50 items per slot, while weapons and armor each occupy one slot. Because of this, managing your inventory effectively means both collecting bags and being smart about what you carry.
Where to Get Large Bags (+5 Slots)
Large Bags provide the most inventory expansion per bag. Known sources include:
Chapter 3 (Unlock Damiane): Unlocking Damiane as a playable character in Chapter 3 awards a Large Bag.
Chapter 3 (Howling Hill): Completing the first Howling Hill camp expansion awards a Large Bag.
Chapter 7 (Unlock Oongka): Unlocking Oongka in Chapter 7 awards another Large Bag.
Major Quest Rewards: Certain high-level faction quests and story milestones reward Large Bags. Check the Journal rewards column before accepting quests.
Where to Get Medium Bags (+3 Slots)
Medium Bags are the most common mid-tier expansion source:
Faction Quests: Open your Journal and check the Faction Quests tab. Look for quests that list a Standard Inventory Expansion Tool or Medium Bag as a reward.
Notice Boards: Notice boards in towns frequently post quests that reward Medium Bags. Check them regularly as new quests appear over time.
Side Quests: Many side quests from NPCs with orange dots over their heads offer Medium Bags alongside other rewards.
Where to Get Small Bags (+1 Slot)
Small Bags are the most affordable and accessible expansion option:
Vendors: Nearly every merchant in Pywel sells exactly one Small Bag for 50 copper coins. Visit all merchants in each new town you discover.
Minor Quest Rewards: Some early-game quests and minor tasks reward Small Bags.
While each Small Bag only adds one slot, buying one from every vendor you meet adds up over time.
Storage Alternatives
In addition to bags, Crimson Desert offers storage options to offload items you do not need to carry at all times. As of Patch 1.00.03, storage boxes are available at Greymane Camp and temporary lodgings in Hernand. Use these to store crafting materials, extra weapons, and other items you want to keep but do not need in the field.

Tips
Buy a Small Bag from every vendor you encounter. The 50 copper cost is negligible and every slot counts.
Prioritize faction quests that reward bags. Check the Journal rewards column before accepting.

Story progression is the fastest way to get Large Bags. Advancing through chapters unlocks new characters and camp expansions, both of which award bags.
Stack consumables and materials whenever possible. A stack of 50 herbs takes the same slot as a single herb.
