Overview
The Crane Puzzle appears during the Sealed in Stone faction quest, which is part of the House Roberts questline (Estate in Dismay). Players must operate a crane to extract a buried relic from the ground at Karin Quarry in Hernand.
Location
Karin Quarry, Hernand. The crane control room is accessed via an elevator during the quest.
Step-by-Step Solution
Use the elevator to reach the control room, then interact with the crane controls by the window.
Use the D-pad to position the crane hook directly over the light gray cube buried in the center of the ground below.
Allow one claw to clamp down on one side of the relic first. Then adjust the other claw to clamp on the opposite side. Once properly aligned, the claw automatically attaches with audio and camera feedback.
Press Up on the D-pad to pull the relic out of the stone. The extraction completes the objective.
Tips
The controls can feel sluggish. Be patient and make small adjustments with the D-pad until the hook is positioned correctly.
After extracting the relic, a hidden underground area opens beneath where the relic was embedded. Drop down to explore it.

Access to a hidden area containing a Palmar Pill and an Abyss Teleporter disk.
