The Bonepit Greathammer is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert that takes its name from the Bonepit region. The Bonepit equipment line also includes the Bonepit Warhammer, Bonepit Greataxe, and Bonepit Halberd, forming a family of sturdy weapons associated with this rugged area of Pywel.
At 20 base attack power with Critical Rate Lv. 1, the Bonepit Greathammer is the strongest standard greathammer in the game, surpassing the Bekker Greathammer (17 attack, no crit) by a significant margin. The greathammer subtype delivers the highest raw damage per hit among all two-handed weapon categories, and the Bonepit version pushes that damage ceiling even higher with its combination of high attack and crit chance.

The Bonepit Greathammer can be found as random loot in the open world across Pywel. Most open-world loot in Crimson Desert is RNG-based, so the weapon may appear in different locations during different playthroughs. Players exploring the Bonepit region and surrounding areas have a chance to discover it in weapon racks, treasure chests, or as ground loot.
The five Abyss Gear slots complement the weapon's already impressive stat line. With 20 attack and Lv. 1 crit built in, players can socket cores that push either stat higher. Adding crit rate cores creates a build where the greathammer's devastating per-swing damage frequently gets amplified by critical hits. Alternatively, stacking flat attack bonuses on top of the 20 base creates one of the hardest-hitting weapon configurations in the game.
Greathammers hit harder per swing than any other melee weapons subtype. The Bonepit Greathammer's 20 attack base combined with greathammer swing animations means each hit delivers substantial damage. Oongka's heavy attack animations with greathammers include overhead slams that create ground shockwaves, scattering dirt and staggering nearby enemies caught in the impact zone.
Compared to the Bekker Greathammer (17 attack, no crit), the Bonepit Greathammer offers 3 more base attack plus the Lv. 1 crit bonus, making it strictly superior in every measurable stat. Players who have been using the Bekker Greathammer should upgrade to the Bonepit version as soon as they find it.
The weapon's higher sell price of 2.61 Silver reflects its superior stat line compared to lower-tier greathammers. The starting refinement level of 2 means the weapon arrives slightly stronger than a freshly crafted alternative, saving the player some refinement materials.
The Bonepit Greathammer arrives with Refinement Lv. 2 as its base state when found as world loot. Further refinement at a Blacksmith continues to increase its attack power. Given that 20 base attack is already the highest among standard greathammers, refinement amplifies an already dominant position in the weapon hierarchy.
This is the best standard greathammer in the game. If you find one, prioritize equipping and refining it for Oongka.
The Lv. 1 crit bonus pairs well with the greathammer's high base damage. Even infrequent crits deal massive burst damage because the base hit is already so large.
Use charged heavy attacks against bosses with tough defenses. The combined power of a 20-attack greathammer charge with a potential crit can shatter guard stances and remove significant health chunks.
Since this weapon is found as world loot rather than crafted, keep an eye on treasure chests and weapon racks while exploring, especially in and around the Bonepit region.
