Blueberry is a berry crop in Starsand Island described in-game as "the King of Berries, packed with nutrients and ranking as one of the top 15 healthiest foods worldwide." It becomes available once you earn the Intermediate Farmer certification from Graminova. Blueberry grows exclusively during Summer, takes 4 days and 6 hours to mature, and produces 4 berries per harvest.
Among Intermediate tier crops, Blueberry is a solid performer with a gold-per-day return of 87.5 g/day. While it trails behind Corn (95.6 g/day) in raw profitability, Blueberry has a slightly shorter growth cycle at 4.25 days compared to Corn's 4.5 days. Its single-season restriction to Summer means you need to plan plantings carefully to fit as many harvests as possible before Autumn arrives.
Unlike many other fruits in the game, Blueberry cannot be processed into jam at the Jam Maker and is not used in any cooking recipes. Its primary value comes from direct sales, gifting to NPCs, and seed recovery through the Grinder.

Blueberry Seeds are purchased from the Happiness Seed Shop for 240g each after you reach the Intermediate Farmer tier. The shop is located in Starsand Town, across from Zerine's General Store, and is open from 10 AM to 9 PM. You can interact with the cash register directly to browse seeds without needing to talk to Graminova.
Seeds are available for purchase year-round regardless of the current season. This means you can stockpile Blueberry Seeds during Spring, Autumn, or Winter so you are ready to plant the moment Summer begins.
You can also produce your own Blueberry Seeds using the Grinder, which converts 2 Blueberries into 1 Blueberry Seeds packet. The Grinder unlocks at the Senior Farmer tier and is a good way to reduce seed costs once you reach that level.
Blueberry grows on regular tilled farmland. It does not require a trellis, paddy field, or planting box. To plant Blueberry, till a plot of soil with your Hoe, select Blueberry Seeds from your inventory, and place them on the tilled tile.
Once planted, Blueberry takes 4 days and 6 hours (4.25 real-time days) to fully mature. You need to water it daily using your Watering Can, or set up sprinklers to automate the process. Blueberry grows only during Summer. If you plant it too late in the season and Summer ends before the crop matures, the plant will wither and be lost.
Blueberry is a single-harvest crop. After you pick the 4 berries, the plant is consumed and you must replant from seed. This is different from trellis crops like Cherry Tomato or Pepper that regrow after each harvest.
Tip: With a 28-day Summer season, you can fit roughly 6 full harvests if you plant on Day 1 and replant immediately after each harvest. The last safe planting day is around Day 23 or 24, since the crop needs 4.25 days to mature.
Tip: Use Yield Fertilizer from the Fertilizer system to boost harvest quantity beyond the base yield of 4.
Tip: Ripening Fertilizer III (Intermediate tier, 180g per 5 bags) instantly advances growth by 25 hours, which can shave a full day off the Blueberry growth cycle and allow you to squeeze in an extra harvest during Summer.
The base sell price for Blueberry is 153g per berry. Since each harvest produces 4 berries, a single harvest sells for 612g at base quality. Higher-quality Blueberries sell for more. Quality is influenced by the fertilizer you use and random chance during growth.
You can sell Blueberry at Zerine's General Store at the prices listed below. For even higher returns, sell to the Merchant Ship when it docks at Starsand Port every Monday, as it pays 200% of the normal sell price for all items.
Selling Method | Price per Berry | Revenue per Harvest (x4) |
|---|---|---|
Base Quality (Zerine's Store) | 153g | 612g |
Merchant Ship (2x price) | 306g | 1,224g |
Since Blueberry is not used in any cooking recipes or jam production, selling the raw berries directly (or via the Merchant Ship) is the best way to maximize returns.
Blueberry is the second-most profitable crop in the Intermediate Farmer tier when measured by gold per day, behind Corn. The calculation below uses base sell prices and purchased seeds. For a full comparison across all tiers, see the Crop Profitability Rankings article.
Metric | Value |
|---|---|
Seed Cost | 210g |
Sell Price per Berry | 153g |
Yield | 4 berries |
Revenue per Harvest | 612g (153 x 4) |
Profit per Harvest | 402g (612 - 240) |
Growth Time | 4.25 days |
Gold per Day | 87.5 g/day |
Crop | Seed Cost | Sell Price | Growth Time | Profit/Harvest | Gold/Day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
230g | 170g | 4d 12h | 450g | 100.0 g/day | |
Blueberry | 210g | 153g | 4d 6h | 402g | 87.5 g/day |
210g | 165g | 5 days | 450g | 90.0 g/day | |
210g | 139g | 3d 6h | 624g (3 harvests) | 27.4 g/day |
Corn leads the Intermediate tier at 95.6 gold per day, with Blueberry close behind at 87.5 g/day. Blueberry's shorter growth cycle (4.25 vs. 4.5 days) means slightly more harvests per season, but the lower sell price per unit keeps it in second place overall. Strawberry covers Spring and Winter, making it the go-to crop during seasons when neither Corn nor Blueberry can grow.
At the Senior Farmer tier, the Grinder lets you produce Blueberry Seeds from 2 harvested berries instead of buying them. This eliminates the 240g seed cost. You sacrifice 2 berries (306g worth) to produce the next seed packet, but save the 240g purchase price, netting a 66g saving on the cash outlay per cycle. With Grinder seeds:
Revenue: 612g (sell all 4 berries from a base yield-4 harvest)
Effective cost: 2 berries worth of Blueberry (306g opportunity cost)
Effective profit: 612g total harvest minus 306g sacrificed = 306g if replanting from one harvest
If Yield Fertilizer boosts your harvest beyond 4 berries, you keep 100% of the bonus berries as pure profit.
The Merchant Ship pays 200% of the normal sell price. A single Blueberry harvest sold to the Merchant Ship yields 1,224g (306g x 4) instead of 612g. After subtracting the 240g seed cost, that is 984g profit per harvest, or roughly 231.5 g/day. Timing your harvests to align with the ship's Monday visits can dramatically boost income.
Blueberry has limited processing options compared to other fruits. There is no Blueberry Jam recipe at the Jam Maker, and no cooking recipes use Blueberry as an ingredient. The only processing option is seed recovery through the Grinder.
Machine | Input | Output | Unlocked At |
|---|---|---|---|
2x Blueberry | 1x Blueberry Seeds | Senior Farmer |
Using the Grinder to produce your own seeds eliminates the 240g seed cost on subsequent plantings. Once you reach Senior Farmer, setting aside 2 berries from each harvest for the Grinder means you can replant without spending gold at the shop.
Like all crops in Starsand Island, Blueberry has an everlasting seed variant. Everlasting Blueberry Seeds produce a plant that regrows after every harvest without needing to replant. This eliminates both the seed cost and the time spent tilling and planting, turning Blueberry into a passive income source during Summer.
There is also a rarer Immortal variant. Immortal Blueberry Seeds ignore seasonal restrictions entirely, letting you grow Blueberry year-round in any season, including Autumn, Winter, and Spring.
Methods for obtaining everlasting and immortal seeds include:
Mirthshroom Soup: Eating this soup grants the Creamy Seeds buff. While active, harvesting any crop has a chance to drop everlasting or immortal seeds. Stacking 5 soups maximizes the drop rate.
Eternal Blessings: A Workpedia skill available at the Senior Farmer tier. Provides a permanent passive chance to receive everlasting crops when harvesting. Can be upgraded with Starsand Points.
Treasure Chests: Found on the surface island and in the Moonlit Forest. Some chests contain everlasting or immortal seeds.
Islandpedia Rewards: Completing certain Islandpedia milestones rewards everlasting seeds.
If you dig up an everlasting or immortal Blueberry plant with a pickaxe, the seed is refunded to your inventory. You never lose it, which lets you freely relocate crops as your farm layout changes.
Blueberry makes a solid gift for several NPCs. The following preferences have been confirmed:
Preference | NPCs |
|---|---|
Loved | Capybara, Graminova, Little Panda, Marston, Matilda, Parrot, Sagewood, Squirrel |
Liked | Most other villagers |
Neutral | Dog, Panda |
Disliked | Cat, Ferret |
Since Graminova loves Blueberry, gifting her a few berries is a convenient way to build friendship while visiting the Happiness Seed Shop to buy more seeds. Blueberry is also loved by the Squirrel and Little Panda, making it a versatile gift item during Summer.
Blueberry's Summer-only restriction makes timing critical. Start planting on the first day of Summer and replant immediately after each harvest to maximize the number of cycles you can complete.
Since no cooking recipes or jams use Blueberry, your best option for maximizing value is selling directly to the Merchant Ship on Monday at 200% price. Stockpile berries in a chest throughout the week.
If you want a higher gold-per-day return from Intermediate tier crops during Summer, consider planting Corn instead. Corn offers 95.6 g/day compared to Blueberry's 87.5 g/day, and Corn also grows in Autumn.
At the Intermediate tier, you also unlock Ripening Fertilizer III (180g per 5 bags), which advances growth by 25 hours. Applying it to Blueberry cuts the growth time from 4.25 days to roughly 3.2 days, letting you fit more harvests into a single Summer.
Once you reach Senior Farmer and unlock the Grinder, you can convert 2 Blueberries into 1 Blueberry Seeds packet, eliminating the 240g purchase cost for future plantings.
Consider using sprinklers on your Blueberry fields. Automating the daily watering frees up time for other activities, especially during the busy Summer season when many high-value crops compete for attention.
Blueberry is loved by 8 different NPCs, making it one of the better gifting crops. Keep a small reserve for relationship building while selling the rest for profit.
