Assassin

Corrected the Sabre and Wrist Blades descriptions (slower charged strikes versus fast poison stacks), set the combat role to melee and mid-range, added the weapon-swap combo and expected design pillars, and added a dated list of unpublished specifics; removed the unsourced armor-weight row
The Assassin is a stealth-oriented class specializing in burst damage and precision strikes. Assassins master stealth and striking from the shadows to eliminate targets with ruthless efficiency.
The Assassin was not playable in the first Closed Beta Test (June 2025). Only the Swordsman, Ranger and Berserker were available, and no test since has included the Assassin.
A note on sourcing. As of 2026-09-11 no developer note, store listing or official site text names the Assassin or describes any of its skills. What follows comes from reveal-era class copy and from early footage, and the weapon descriptions in particular are read off that footage rather than played. Nothing below is hands-on.

Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
Type | Melee and mid-range damage dealer, focused on high single-target damage |

Difficulty | High |
Beta status | Not yet playable |
Assassins are the only class using two resources at once. Vigor regenerates on its own, the same resource the Ranger draws on, while Bloodlust builds through critical hits and kills.
Bloodlust enables devastating finisher abilities. Rotating skills properly to maximize resource generation is essential for optimal damage. No generation rate, cap or spend cost has been published for either bar, and neither has been observed in a playable build.
One of two melee options, and the heavier of them. Footage shows charged strikes that trade speed for a large payoff, so the Sabre reads as the slower close-range weapon rather than the fast one. Reveal-era class copy credits the sabre and wrist blades together with landing precise hits even in the chaos of battle.
The faster of the two melee options. Rapid burst combos that apply stacks of poison, with mobility folded into the strikes themselves rather than sitting on separate dashes. Earlier write-ups described the wrist blades instead as the ambush weapon carrying critical-strike bonuses; the poison and speed framing is the more recent account, and no official surface has reconciled the two.
The ranged weapon. Long-range precision for surprise takedowns and opening attacks. Allows engagement before closing to melee range. Its stated job is to keep pressure up after you disengage and to hold enemies at distance while you recover, rather than to work purely as an opener.
Assassins dive from the shadows, deal burst damage, then vanish before enemies can react. The class specializes in single-target combat and excels at eliminating priority targets.
Acrobatic abilities create distance when needed, and stealth enables repositioning between attacks.
Early footage of the Assassin shows extended burst combos that switch fluidly between the two equipped weapons: leap into melee, deal a burst, disengage, and keep applying Poison across the sequence. Of the six classes this is the clearest published example of Dual Weapon Switching happening inside a single combo rather than between phases of a fight. Poison recurs often enough in those descriptions to read as a signature debuff for the class rather than an incidental effect.
The points below are stated as expectations for the class, not as observed behaviour, and they are repeated here with that framing intact.
Rewards for landing critical strikes.
Mobility folded into abilities rather than sitting on separate dashes.
Single-target crowd control rather than group control.
A heavier reliance on evasion as a defensive tool than other melee classes.
Lower sustained damage than other damage dealers, traded for higher burst.
Players expect the Assassin to dominate one-on-one duels through burst damage and stealth. The class functions similarly to Rogue archetypes in other games.
Like every class, the Assassin plugs into the Matrix System, the node-based progression layer Chrono Studio announced after the June 2025 closed beta. Each of the Assassin's three weapons (Sabre, Wrist Blades, and Musket) can evolve down one of four distinct paths, so two players on the same loadout can end up with different casting speeds, skill effects, and combat rhythm. The difference comes from the stats allocated through the Matrix, the passive skills unlocked along a path, and the attributes on equipped gear. The node layout is still under development, so treat specific path details as subject to change before launch.
Highest burst damage
Stealth mechanics
Strong in duels
Flexible melee and ranged options
Acrobatic mobility
Poison pressure from the wrist blades
Low defenses
Punishes mistakes severely
Requires precise execution
Complex resource management
As of 2026-09-11, none of the following exists on any surface checked for this article:
Any Assassin skill name, cooldown or resource cost.
How Vigor and Bloodlust generate, cap or spend, in figures.
Whether stealth is a dedicated mechanic with its own rules, or a description of the class fantasy.
The Assassin's Matrix paths. Four paths per weapon and twelve per class is confirmed as the structure, but no path has been named for any class.
A swap-draw passive for any Assassin weapon. Those were recorded in the June 2025 build only for the three classes playable in it.
