Halberds are two-handed long-reach Crude weapons that scale with Strength. They favor spacing and reach over parry timing, so halberd builds lead with dodges and punish committed enemy attacks from distance.
Four halberds ship in the current build: one Uncommon baseline and three Rare/Epic named variants. ATK figures below are the maximum shown on the Item Level 15 card.
Every hit from this class lands as Crude damage. Windrose sorts weapon damage into three types, Slash, Pierce, and Crude, and enemy defenses respond to each one differently. The same Crude profile that tears through one foe can glance off another, so check what you are fighting before you lean an entire Strength build around a single damage type.

Ascending a Rare variant to Epic adds one more effect on top of the Rare effect. The exact bonus varies per weapon:

Every Rare/Epic weapon in this category shares the same scaling mechanics. Ascending a Rare variant at the Weaponsmith Workshop preserves the Rare effect and stacks the Epic bonus on top. The Sturdy prefix weapons in every class jump to Strength, Agility, or Precision (S) at Epic, which is the single largest scaling jump in the game.

Base recipe is Wood x10 plus Copper Ingot x7 at the Weaponsmith Workshop Level 1. Level 6-10 upgrades swap to Hardwood plus Foothills Iron Ingot. Level 11-15 upgrades swap to Hardwood plus Mire Metal Ingot. Two-handed halberds ascend with Tumbaga Ingot x9.

Strength primary, Endurance to keep long-reach swings fed. Halberds cannot Perfect Block (shared with Clubs), so the combat loop uses dodges, long-poke attacks, and punish windows rather than parry timing. Plague Halberd's special attack provides sustain; Sturdy Halberd is the pure-damage pick.
Halberds are Crude weapons, which means they can block but cannot Perfect Block, a limitation they share with Clubs. The combat loop therefore drops parry timing and runs on spacing instead: keep enemies at the end of the reach, dodge through committed attacks, and answer with long pokes from a distance the target cannot easily close.
Build Strength as the primary stat and feed it with Endurance so the heavy swings keep coming. Plague Halberd's special supplies sustain, the Executioner snowballs Critical Hit Chance off kills, and the Sturdy Halberd is the straight damage pick.
