Beds are ground-placed furniture in the Decorations category. Their main purpose is to set your revival point: interact with a placed bed (or Tent) to make it your active respawn spot, so that when you die you return there instead of your previous location. Windrose has no sleep system at present, so a bed does not advance time or restore stats; it controls where you respawn and, when placed inside Bonfire range, contributes a comfort bonus toward the Rested buff. Every bed except the Tent needs a roof overhead to function.

Beds sit directly on a Floor piece and snap to any flat ground-level surface. They are oriented to the nearest wall and usually fit in a 2x1 or 2x2 floor footprint depending on size.
Bed quality mostly changes the visual fidelity of the frame and bedding, not the respawn function. The Simple Bed uses basic Plant Fiber and Wood, while the Elegant Bed and Large Luxurious Bed call for Hardwood, Linen Fabric, and Feather. The comfort value tops out at +2 regardless of which higher-tier bed you pick, so the choice is mostly cosmetic.
Because beds only contribute comfort inside Bonfire range, a single bed plus one piece from each other decoration sub-category (for example a Wardrobes piece and a Wall Torches) near the fire is enough to raise the Rested buff. Each unique sub-category adds +1 comfort; duplicates of the same sub-category do not stack.
Placing a bed is not enough. You must interact with it after placement to set it as your active revival point, otherwise you keep respawning at your old spot.
Pick the bed that matches your interior theme. Hunting beds use fur and horn accents, Elegant beds use carved wood and fabric, and Luxurious beds are large enough to read as a centerpiece.
A single bed is usually enough. Adding a second bed of the same sub-category does not stack comfort.
Align the bed's headboard against a wall for the cleanest snap.
Comfort +1 bonuses in a given decoration sub-category do not stack. Placing a second piece of the same sub-category does not add more comfort, it only changes the aesthetic.
A bed near a Bonfire and your main crafting cluster makes for the most convenient respawn, since you return ready to resupply.
Beds and the Tent are the only furniture that let you bind your respawn location. After building one, walk up and interact with it to mark it active; the game confirms the new revival point. If you place several, only the one you last activated counts. The Tent is the portable option, costing only Plant Fiber and Wood and needing no roof, which makes it the standard choice to drop on a far island before a risky fight. Roofed beds back at base double as a comfort piece toward the Rested buff, so most players keep a Tent in the field and a proper bed at home.
