Overview
Simple Bed with Headboard is an upgraded version of the basic Simple Bed, part of the Beds decoration group. The decorated headboard pushes its comfort value to +2, double the plain Simple Bed's +1, while keeping a low, early-game material cost. Like all beds it is built from the Storage and Beds tab of the Building Panel.

Revival Point and Roof
Interacting with the bed lets you set it as your revival point, so you respawn here after dying instead of at the previous spawn. The bed must be placed under a roof to function, the same requirement shared by every bed in the game. A roofed bed inside Bonfire range is the standard home-base setup.
Note that in the current build sleeping in a bed is decorative for time and stats: beds let you set a revival point and grant comfort, but lying down does not fast-forward the clock or restore health and stamina.
Comfort and Function
This piece feeds the camp's Comfort System, but only while it sits inside the Bonfire range. A decoration placed outside that footprint still stands but contributes no comfort. Within this category the comfort bonuses do not stack, so a second copy of the same category piece adds nothing; spread points across different categories instead.
The Bed bonus here is +2. Bed-category bonuses do not stack, so you only need one bed for the comfort point; the choice between this and pricier beds such as the Elegant Bed, Hunting Bed, or Large Luxurious Bed is purely cosmetic since all of them give the same +2.
How to Build
The recipe is taught by the Decoration: Simple Bed with Headboard plan and builds in about one second. It costs 5 Plant Fiber, 3 Wood, 2 Rope, and 5 Triton's Horn. The first three materials are beach-trivial, so the only real gate is gathering Triton's Horn, which sets this bed slightly above the plain Simple Bed in cost.
