Overview
Beam (Weathered) is a horizontal beam built from weathered sticks, used to span the gap between two pillars and carry the load of a floor or roof above. It sits in the Pillars and Beams category of the Base Building system and is crafted from Wood.
With 750 max health and a cost of just two wood, it is one of the cheapest spanning pieces, which makes the weathered set a good early choice while you are still gathering materials. Build time is one second, and beams are repaired with the same wood used to place them.
Crafting and Unlock
The recipe is taught by the Plans: Weathered Pillars and Fences plan, which unlocks the matching weathered pillars, fences, and rails. Pair the beam with a weathered pillar at each end so the spans and supports share the same rustic look.
Related Pieces
Beams come in several woods and a larger size. Use the weathered versions together for a consistent finish, or step up to sturdier timber and mahogany beams for heavier structures.
