36-pound cannons are the heaviest caliber in the game and only one hull can carry them. The Blackbeard Frigate can replace its default 24-pound guns with 36-pound guns for maximum per-volley damage at the cost of reload speed. Compatible hulls:

36-Pounders is crafted at the Shipwright's Workshop. Each station tier accepts higher-grade metals and planks, letting you re-craft this gun with whichever material pipeline your base currently supports.

When to Use

The baseline 36-Pounders is the most accessible cannon of its caliber and requires no Recipe Papers to craft. It trades mechanical effect for raw availability, which matters when you need to re-arm mid-campaign or outfit a new hull quickly before hunting down higher-tier plans.
