36-Pounders: Devastating is a 36-pound ship cannon, a Rare-rarity modded variant that requires a Plans paper to unlock the recipe. Guns favored for raking fire that punish alignment errors brutally. Their shots tear through decks, guns, and crew alike, leaving damage that worsens with every blow that follows. Only Frigate-class hulls support 36-pound cannons in their main battery, and only the Blackbeard Frigate variant as an upgrade from the default 24-pound loadout.

In-Game Effect

Hitting a target with more than 50 of a volley applies Raked effect for 25 seconds. All Damage dealt to affected targets is increased by 10%. Stacks up to 3 times.

Crafting Recipes

36-Pounders: Devastating can be crafted through the following recipes at the Shipwright's Workshop. Each tier uses progressively higher-quality metals and planks so higher-level stations unlock better material pipelines for the same ship weapon.

When to Use

Devastating cannons apply the Raked debuff that multiplies all damage on hit targets. Best against high-HP hulls like Brethren Brigs and Frigates where the Raked uptime matters. Pair with Naval Tactics V: Silence the Guns to keep pressure on enemy reloads.
