Overview
Firework Items are a collection of decorative objects added to Starsand Island as part of the March 2026 content update. Themed around fireworks and festivals, the collection includes firework launchers that produce visual effects when activated, sparkler hand items, and festival lanterns that double as functional light sources. These items complement the game's existing seasonal event decorations and give players new ways to customize their property with festive flair.
The firework collection was released alongside two other themed sets in the March update: the Sun Wukong Outfit Set and the Rednote Collaboration items. Together, these three sets form the cosmetic content portion of the March 2026 update cycle.

Lanterns as Light Sources
The festival lanterns are not purely decorative. When placed on your property, they emit a soft glow that illuminates the surrounding area at night. This makes them functional alternatives to the standard light fixtures available through the Decoration Guide. The light radius is smaller than dedicated lamp posts or ceiling lights, but the warm, colored glow creates a distinct atmosphere that standard lighting cannot replicate.
The lantern strings are particularly useful for outdoor areas. String them along garden paths, across patio overhangs, or between fence posts to create ambient lighting that covers more ground than individual lanterns. They work well in combination with standard outdoor lights for areas that need both practical illumination and decorative ambiance.
How to Obtain
All Firework Items are purchasable with in-game Coins from Ethereal Styles in Starsand Town. No special quests, profession levels, or event participation is required. Visit the shop and purchase whichever items you want.
Unlike seasonal event items (such as those from the Chinese New Year Festival or the Beach Festival), the Firework Items are a permanent addition to the shop inventory. They remain available for purchase year-round after the March 2026 update, so there is no urgency to buy them before a deadline.
Firework Launchers: How They Work
Firework launchers are placed on the ground like any other decoration item. Once placed, you can interact with a launcher to trigger its firework effect. The launcher plays a brief animation: sparks shoot upward, burst into a colorful pattern, and fade after a few seconds. The effect is visual and auditory only; it does not affect gameplay, damage anything, or alert NPCs.
Each launcher can be activated repeatedly with no cooldown or consumable cost. You do not need to reload or refuel launchers. Place several in a row and trigger them in sequence for a more dramatic display. They work during both daytime and nighttime, but the visual effect is much more impressive against a dark sky.
