Gratia
September 7, 2026 at 01:24 AM
Reframed her affiliation around direct service to the Queen rather than an unlabelled faction grouping, added the Order of the Tide, a Methods table and an Acquaintance profile
Gratia is a playable character in Silver Palace, introduced through an official character title page. Her occupation is given as Knight and her title as "Her Majesty's Protégé". She serves as a knight of the royal household under Queen Feliana. No faction banner is officially attached to her in the game's factions.

The official title page shows a long-haired blonde woman with tall rabbit ears in a gold and white military-style dress with a blue necktie and black thigh-highs, seated on a blue draped swing and holding a pale staff. Sunflowers, stars and small rabbit motifs fill the background. The card gives the role beneath the name as Knight.

Gratia is described in her official profile as a fiercely loyal knight and a brave, if foolish, follower. She raises sword and shield in the name of knightly honour and the Queen's grace, and her personal quote frames her devotion in the Queen's own words: "Routine training shall make the knights stronger... Thus spake Her Majesty the Queen!"
Her profile closes on a darker note than her cheerful loyalty suggests, observing that many dark secrets fester beneath the throne and expressing hope that the enlightened will descend to deliver salvation. That tension between a knight's straightforward faith and a court riddled with conspiracy sits at the centre of her characterisation, and it connects her to the wider political intrigue the Detective investigates.
The official faction gallery names two organisations, S.T.A.T.S. and the River Constabulary, and leaves a third tab locked with no label attached to it anywhere in the build, so nothing in that gallery covers Gratia. What the build does state is narrower and firmer: she is a knight of the Order of the Tide serving as a personal guard to Queen Feliana, and the Detective's notes on her list exactly one relationship, the monarch she serves without hesitation.
Gratia is a 5-star character of the Guardian class, a defensive class built around holding the line, and carries the Glacies elemental attribute. The second test's own reward announcement lists her as the 5-star Guardian "Gratia | Knight", one of the featured 5-stars on its standard Repertoire Beyond the Curtain and standard Monologue Hidden Pages. Those values describe that build rather than a finished release version.
In combat Gratia fights with sword and shield.
Like every playable character, Gratia channels these abilities through a personal Reactor, the same technology described on Silverium and Spinotrodes. The elemental attribute also determines which Resonance effect triggers once the Resonance meter fills during a fight.
The kit below was recorded in the second closed beta build, the Dichotomy Beta Test, so the values describe that build rather than a finished release version. Gratia runs on two resources: Muscle Memory, capped at 100 and building at five per second and faster on her later combo hits, and Stalwart Fury, which builds only while she holds a shield up.
Method | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Blunted Blade | Basic Attack | Five-hit sword chain whose last two hits build Muscle Memory quickly. Holding the parry input raises a shield that cuts incoming damage in half and builds Stalwart Fury; releasing at full Fury converts it into a shield rush that interrupts everything it hits. |
Flowing Shield | Skill | Spends all Muscle Memory to slam the shield into the ground, giving every character on the team a shield worth 40% of Gratia's maximum health for 20 seconds. |
Spear of Glory | Ultimate | Shapes Silverium into a spiral spear with her Reactor and throws it; it deals continuous damage on hit and detonates after a set time. |
Severe Deterrent | Switch-in attack that counters and interrupts anything striking during the animation. | |
Silverium Blessing | Passive | Triggering a Glacies Resonance effect gives every other character on the team 12% attack for 40 seconds. |
Gratia can be invited to the Detective's Office through the Acquaintance affinity layer, given gifts there, and summoned as a companion. Trust builds from gifts and from ordinary shared activity: fighting alongside the Detective, exploring, and eating together. The details below were recorded in the second closed beta build.
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Birthday | 26 March |
Interests and skills | Wrestling, shield training, horsemanship, slot machines |
Likes | Gaining the Queen's recognition, being a knight, maintaining her armour, tales of justice, cats, carrots and other vegetables |
Dislikes | The chess and poetry championed in the Seven Chivalric Arts, all things evil, every mistake she has made |
Preferred gifts | Small Weights Set, Gossip Magazine, Fortuitous Amulet |
Order | Order of the Tide, serving as a personal guard to the Queen |
Five Acquaintance levels are tracked for Gratia. In that build the first four levels each paid Ounces and reading material, and the fifth paid a Standard Shot together with Reactor Crystals. The first level unlocked the Keep Company interaction and the second a personal letter. Those figures come from a test build and are the kind of number most likely to be retuned before release.
Two details from the same panel are worth keeping because they cut against the straight-backed knight image: she is decorated for horsemanship yet cannot communicate with her own steed, a running frustration for her, and her recorded impression of the Detective at level one is the plain "Clever Detective".
