Armor in Romestead covers three slots (helmet/hood, chestplate/body, footwear) and is crafted at the Leatherworker, Blacksmith, and Carpenter's Workshop depending on the material. Sets exist for melee, ranged, and caster builds.
Standard Tier Ladder
Most metal armor sets follow the same Copper, Bronze, Iron progression with three pieces each:
Tier | Helmet | Chest | Boots |
|---|---|---|---|
Civilian | Adventuring Hat | Civilian Tunic | Sandals |
Leather | Leather Hood | Leather Armor | Leather Sandals / Adventuring Boots |
Thick Leather | Thick Leather Hood | Thick Leather Armor | Thick Leather Sandals |
Copper | Copper Helmet | Copper Chestplate | Copper Greaves |
Bronze | Bronze Helmet | Bronze Chestplate | Bronze Greaves |
Legionary (Iron) | Legionary Helmet | Legionary Chestplate | Legionary Greaves |
Class-Aligned Sets
Three robe sets emphasize caster builds; three armor sets emphasize martial classes. Experimental armor crafting (patch 0.20.1_23) differentiates melee, ranged, and caster requirements.

|---|---|---|
Camillus | Camillus Headpiece, Camillus Robes, Camillus Sandals | Caster / religious officiant |

Flamines Volcanalis | Volcanic-tier set (can roll modifiers when crafted) | Volcano biome crafting |
Launch-week hotfixes let the Flamines Volcanalis Armour roll modifiers when crafted and fixed the Tectonic set rolling the wrong modifiers, so both volcanic-tier sets now roll their intended modifiers.
