Overview

Trubbish (Pokedex #132, Trash Bag Pokemon) is a Poison-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia with the Recycle specialty. Trubbish converts otherwise low-value waste materials into useful crafting resources, making it valuable for material processing throughout the game. The Recycle specialty is shared with Garbodor, but Trubbish is the more common of the two.

Iron Ore is essential for smelting Iron Ingots at a furnace, used in many building recipes and for the Sparkling Skylands skyscraper reconstruction. Paper is used in furniture recipes, building components, and some quest deliveries.

How to Befriend Trubbish

Build a Trash Collection Site habitat (#063). The habitat requires waste-themed items and a humid environment. Use the Cut or Rock Smash moves on garbage piles in Bleak Beach to gather Nonburnable Garbage and other waste materials for habitat decoration.

Cooking Connection

One of the bread recipes in Pokopia, Recycled Bread, requires the Recycle specialty to make. This means you need a befriended Trubbish or Garbodor before you can cook Recycled Bread. Recycled Bread has a Bitter flavor and powers up the Cut transformation like all other bread varieties.

Tips

• Place Trubbish near areas where you accumulate Nonburnable Garbage and Wastepaper. Wastepaper is commonly found on Sky Dream Island (accessed via the Dragonite Doll), so bring it back and let Trubbish convert it.

• Nonburnable Garbage is found by breaking objects and foraging across all regions.

• Bitter-flavored cooked food raises Trubbish's comfort level. Recycled Bread is fitting both thematically and mechanically.

• Having both Trubbish and Garbodor in the same area increases your Recycling throughput.

• Trubbish's Trash Collection Site habitat doubles as decoration for waste-management aesthetics in your settlement.
