The Recycle specialty converts waste materials into useful resources. Give trash to a Recycle Pokemon and it processes the waste into crafting materials. This is a reliable source of Iron Ore and Paper throughout the game.
Input | Output |

Talk to a Recycle Pokemon, select "Look at this," and choose garbage or wastepaper from your inventory. The Pokemon will process it into the corresponding material.
Build a Trash Collection Site to attract Garbodor, which has both Litter and Recycle specialties. Garbodor drops Nonburnable Garbage via its Litter specialty, which you can then feed back to it via Recycle to produce Iron Ore. This creates a self-sustaining Iron Ore farm.

The Recycle specialty enables one of the most efficient passive Iron Ore farms in the game. Garbodor is the ideal resident because it has both Litter and Recycle specialties.
Garbodor drops Nonburnable Garbage passively through its Litter specialty
Collect the Nonburnable Garbage and feed it back to Garbodor via Recycle
Garbodor converts each piece into Iron Ore
The Iron Ore can then be smelted into Iron Ingots at a Smelting Furnace
This loop means a single well-placed Garbodor habitat can supply most of your Iron needs for late-game building projects without any overworld mining.
Wastepaper is the other input that Recycle Pokemon accept. It converts into Paper one-for-one. Wastepaper is found in ruins and as Normal-type Litter drops, so pairing a Recycle Pokemon near a Trash Collection Site habitat creates a steady Paper supply for book-related crafting.
Habitat | Attracts | Notes |
|---|---|---|
