Jumpluff

Content expansion (2026-05-24): documented the event window (March 10 to 25, 2026) and added the no-evolution-in-Pokopia framing that explains why each Hoppip-line form needs its own habitat.
Jumpluff is a Grass/Flying-type Pokemon available in Pokemon Pokopia through the More Spores for Hoppip limited-time event. It is the final evolution in the Hoppip line, after Hoppip and Skiploom. Jumpluff is the most valuable of the three event Pokemon because it has two specialties: Grow and Litter.
Like Hoppip and Skiploom, Jumpluff accelerates plant growth in its area. This stacks with other Grow-type Pokemon, making farming more efficient when multiple Grow specialists are assigned to the same region.
Jumpluff's Litter specialty is what sets it apart from the other Hoppip evolutions. The Litter specialty causes Jumpluff to periodically drop useful materials around your town. The specific items Jumpluff drops are cotton-related materials and seeds. See the Litter Specialty and Item Drops article for more details on how the Litter mechanic works.
Other Pokemon with the Litter specialty include Bellsprout (Vine Rope), Weepinbell (Vine Rope), Combee (Honey), Cacturne (Squishy Clay), Mareep (Fluff), and Flaaffy (Fluff). Each Litter Pokemon drops different materials, so Jumpluff adds a unique drop to your town's passive material generation.
The More Spores for Hoppip event ran from March 10 to March 25, 2026, the launch-window event for Pokemon Pokopia. Outside that window, the Hoppip line is not naturally obtainable, so plan an in-game session during the next recurrence (if any is announced) to befriend all three forms.
Pokemon in Pokopia do not evolve. Befriending Hoppip does not eventually turn it into Skiploom or Jumpluff. Each form is a separate spawn that needs its own habitat. To complete the Hoppip line, plan to build all three habitats during the event window, not just the entry-level Hoppip one.
Jumpluff requires the most complex habitat of the three event Pokemon. There are two possible habitats that attract Jumpluff:
Habitat | Required Items |
|---|---|
4 Dandy Flowers (grown from Dandy Flower Seeds) | |
Dandy Flowers + Flower Cushion + Flowery Table Setting + Lunch Box |
The Yellow Carpet habitat is simpler to build. Dandy Flower Seeds are the first item available in the event shop (5 Cotton Spores), and you need to grow them into full Dandy Flowers before placing four together. The Dandelion Lunchtime habitat requires more event shop items but also works.
To obtain all three Hoppip-line Pokemon, you need to purchase several event items using Cotton Spores. Prioritize Dandy Flower Seeds (for Jumpluff's Yellow Carpet habitat), then the three items for Skiploom's Field-Trip Friends habitat. The total Cotton Spore cost for all necessary items is roughly 30-40 spores, achievable within 4-6 days of Dream Island visits.
Jumpluff is the most valuable event Pokemon due to its dual specialties. Befriend it as soon as possible to start generating Litter drops. Place Jumpluff near your farming area so its Grow specialty benefits crops while its Litter drops accumulate nearby. Since the event uses the system clock, Jumpluff is not permanently missable. If you miss the event window, you can adjust your Switch 2 clock to March 9-24, 2026, to access the event at any time.
