Bloom is a florist and plant shop in the Old Town area of Melino, the launch town of Paralives. It is one of the named retail venues confirmed in the Early Access build and shares a wall with the Headlines hair salon next door. See Town Venues for the full venue directory.
The shop has a well-maintained look and is surrounded by plants, mixing a classy and chic aesthetic with a pink exterior and green accents. The structure has three above-ground floors plus one basement level, and the top floor contains a greenhouse.
What Parafolk Do Here
A Parafolk who visits Bloom can buy the plants displayed there; once purchased, a plant goes into the Parafolk's inventory. The plants available match those in the Build Mode catalog at identical prices, so the shop is an in-world way to pick up greenery during Live Mode. Every day, Bloom also gives away a different random plant for free.

In the launch build's bespoke shop music, Bloom plays meditative tracks with nature sounds, one of the per-venue themes designed to distinguish lots audibly when walking the open world, and the music is moddable; see Soundtrack and Music. Because the plants Bloom sells match the Build Mode catalog, a household can stock a home with greenery bought in-world during Live Mode instead of placing it in Build Mode, and the shop's plant focus connects to the gardening side of the game's Hobbies. The free daily plant rewards a regular visit, since the giveaway rotates to a different random plant each day.
Location and Employment
Bloom sits in the Old Town area as the floral and botanical anchor of the district's civic cluster, sharing a wall with Headlines and standing among the named Old Town venues that line the narrow streets. Newspaper job postings in The New Paper sometimes call out Bloom as a workplace, and the venue ties into the Service domain of the town's job system; like the other launch-build shops, a job here runs as a rabbit hole at launch. See Careers. As with every lot, it sits in a seamless open world with no loading screens, reachable on foot or by the PL130 bus line; see Bus Stops and Town Districts.
