The Beach is a coastal park in Melino, the launch town of Paralives. It is located to the south of the town and, being at sea level, is one of the lowest parts of the settlement. This long line of sand is interrupted by a cliff coming down from the Old Town area, effectively cutting the beach in half. See Town Venues for the full venue directory.
The two halves differ in character. The west side is a smaller beach with a single umbrella, rough wooden steps, and dirty sand with debris. The east side is larger and cleaner, with multiple umbrellas, picnic tables, chairs, and lounge chairs. Some community sources group the beach with the Industrial district at the town's southern edge.
What Parafolk Do Here
The beach is one of the launch build's open-air recreation spaces, with a few confirmed activities for a Parafolk.
Activity | Notes |
|---|---|
Build sandcastles | The sand acts as a giant sandbox; Parafolk of all ages can build sandcastles |
Relax on the shore | Sit on chairs, or sit or sleep on the lounge chairs |
Open washed-up boxes | White boxes wash up on the shore; opening one is the equivalent of digging up a buried chest, granting a random collectible |
The washed-up white boxes tie the beach directly into the Collectibles loop, working like the chests from the Buried Treasure hunt, so the shore is a steady spot to pick up a random collectible that can later be donated at the Museum. Because the cliff coming down from the Old Town area cuts the sand in half, the two stretches play differently: the cleaner east side, with its multiple umbrellas, picnic tables, and lounge chairs, suits a relaxed family outing, while the rougher west side is a quieter, more rustic strip. The sandcastle-building works for Parafolk of any lifestage, making the beach one of the few launch-build spaces that gives children, teens, and adults the same open-air activity at once; see Lifestages.
Location
The beach entrance connects to La Tavola di Nonna, Crème, and the Premium Gym, and it is one long flight of stairs away from the train station. The Lighthouse overlooks the same coastline. As with every lot, the beach sits in a seamless open world with no loading screens, reachable on foot or by the PL130 bus line; see Bus Stops, Transportation, and Town Districts. Swimming has not been confirmed as a launch-build activity here.
