Co-Op Mode

Overview

Neverness to Everness features full multiplayer co-op, allowing players to team up and tackle the game's toughest content together. Cross-platform play and cross-save are supported across all platforms: PC, Mac, PS5, iOS, and Android. Whether you are on a phone or a console, you can party up with friends on any device and jump into cooperative dungeons, social activities, and open-world exploration without restrictions.

Co-op in NTE goes beyond just combat. While anomaly dungeons form the core of cooperative gameplay, the multiplayer experience extends into Hethereau's city life with racing, fishing, housing visits, and more. Hotta Studio has positioned NTE as a social experience where players share a living city, not just instanced battles.

Co-Op Dungeons

During the Co-Ex Test in February 2026, two cooperative anomaly dungeons were introduced. These dungeons are designed for teams and require coordinated play to complete.

The Bank

The Bank is a team-based anomaly dungeon where players must cooperate to clear waves of anomalies within a financial district setting. Team coordination is essential, as specific mechanics require players to split roles and cover different zones simultaneously. Elemental reactions between teammates' characters become critical for clearing tougher enemy waves. Players use their combined Esper abilities and combat system mastery to break through encounter phases together.

The Bank features equalized stats, meaning every player's gear and character level are normalized to a standard baseline. This ensures fair difficulty regardless of individual progression and prevents overgeared players from trivializing the experience for their teammates.

The Hospital

The Hospital is the second co-op anomaly dungeon revealed during the Co-Ex Test. Set in an abandoned medical facility, The Hospital features its own unique encounter mechanics that differ from The Bank. Environmental hazards and anomaly-specific gimmicks demand on-the-fly communication and awareness from the team.

Like The Bank, The Hospital applies stat equalization. Both dungeons reward players with upgrade materials, currencies, and equipment components upon successful completion.

Pink Paws Heist

Pink Paws Heist is a dedicated co-op heist dungeon where players plan and execute bank robberies together. The heist format involves multiple phases: infiltration, objective completion, and extraction. Players take on different roles during the heist, and success depends on teamwork and timing rather than raw combat power.

Stats in Pink Paws Heist are equalized just like the anomaly dungeons, so gear differences have no impact on the experience. This makes it one of the most accessible co-op activities in the game, since even newer players can contribute meaningfully alongside veterans.

Cross-Platform Play and Cross-Save

NTE supports full cross-platform multiplayer. PC, Mac, PS5, iOS, and Android players all share the same servers and can join each other's co-op sessions without any platform barriers. Party invitations work across devices, and matchmaking pools include all platforms.

Cross-save allows players to maintain their progress across multiple devices. A player can start on PS5, continue on their phone during a commute, and then switch to PC at home without losing any progress. Account linking is handled through the NTE website or in-game settings, and switching between devices is seamless.

Social and Open-World Co-Op

Beyond instanced dungeons, co-op extends to many of NTE's open-world and city-life features. The following activities support multiplayer:

UGC (User Generated Content)

Hotta Studio has confirmed plans for User Generated Content (UGC) features, where players can create and share custom content with the community. Specifics about the UGC toolset have not been fully revealed, but the concept was mentioned in developer livestreams and press interviews. Details are expected to emerge closer to or after launch. UGC could significantly expand the co-op experience by giving players tools to design their own challenges and share them with friends.

Tips for Co-Op Play

• Coordinate elemental coverage with your team before entering dungeons. Having characters from at least two different elements allows you to trigger reactions together.

• Equalized stats mean your team composition and skill matter more than your gear level. Focus on mastering your character's kit.

• Use voice chat or text communication for The Hospital and The Bank, as their mechanics require real-time coordination.

• Pink Paws Heist is excellent for casual co-op since it does not demand high-end builds or deep combat knowledge.

• Cross-save makes it easy to play with friends across platforms. Link your account early to avoid complications later.
