This guide covers the playable characters in Neverness to Everness, their abilities, and how they fit into team compositions.
Character Roles
Characters in NTE fill various combat roles. Damage dealers like Nanally (electricity) and Fadia (martial arts) focus on offense. Tanks like Adler absorb damage with shields. Supports like Sakiri provide buffs and crowd control.
Each character is associated with one of six Esper Cycle attributes: Light, Zero, Curse, Dark, Soul, and Image.
Eibon Shop Characters
Nanally Coluccus - Cat-girl Esper with electricity powers. Shoots electric sparks like a gun and stuns enemies. Anti-Gravity ability enables flight traversal.
Sakiri - Horned child Esper with Anomaly hammer Kiroumaru. Incantation-type support with devouring skills, gravity tricks, and teamwide buffs. Ultimate makes Kiroumaru vomit area damage.
Adler - Defensive fighter with cane weapon and near-constant shield. Excellent tank for protecting teammates.
Zero - Balanced protagonist fighter with versatile attacks. Starting character with solid baseline performance.
Hotori - Elegant shop owner with mysterious unrevealed powers. Redesigned for beta but combat not yet shown.
Bureau Characters
Mint - Blue-haired CSU-2 member with dual blades. Transforms into tornado for area damage. Social expert and information gatherer.
Baicang - ETD-4 Captain combining Incantations with martial arts. Ranged spells plus close-quarters punches and kicks. Provides team support.
Skia - Wolf-man suppressor with shadow manipulation. Stealth chaser with Fang Thrust projectiles, Shadow Hound movement, and lighter-ignited ultimate.
Fadia - Vampire fighter with massive tombstone weapon and martial arts. Reckless thrill-seeker who lives for chaos.
Lacrimosa - Laid-back construct summoner obsessed with tomatoes. Creates chaotic Esper constructs including a flaming-trash-spitting 'trashcan dog.'
Building Teams
Teams consist of four characters. Combine characters whose attributes are adjacent on the Esper Cycle for synergy reactions. Balance offensive power with defensive capabilities and support abilities.
Consider traversal abilities for exploration. Nanally's Anti-Gravity is particularly useful for vertical movement in Hethereau.
