Multiplayer and Online
February 10, 2026 at 06:43 AM
Initial version
inZOI launched as a single-player game in March 2025. The main online component is Canvas, a built-in platform for sharing user-generated content.
Canvas lets players upload, download, and rate community creations. Content categories include Zoi designs (characters), houses, faces, outfits, rooms, and furniture. It's accessible both in-game (via the Canvas icon in Create-a-Zoi, Play Mode, Build Mode, and City Editor) and through a web browser at canvas.playinzoi.com.
Canvas has a ranking system with four tiers based on total likes and followers:
Newbie
Silver
Gold
Diamond
Higher ranks unlock additional features and privileges. A TOP Ranking highlights the most popular posts over specific periods. Players can follow favourite creators for notifications about new uploads.
Director Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim confirmed multiplayer as one of three major systems in active development for the 2026 roadmap. Plans include dedicated servers supporting hundreds to thousands of concurrent players, online lobbies, chat rooms, and the ability to visit and play in other players' decorated houses. The multiplayer system is called inZOI Online. The team plans to share testing results and build the feature with community input.
