Idol Trainee Career
February 19, 2026 at 03:16 PM
Initial version
The Idol Trainee career is one of the most unique active careers in inZOI, allowing Zois to train as K-pop style idol trainees at Adam Entertainment, an entertainment agency located on the east side of Dowon. Unlike most careers that focus on a single type of task, the Idol Trainee demands simultaneous development across multiple skills — dance, vocals, fitness, and study — making it one of the most demanding career paths in the game.
This career has a critical restriction: it is only available to Young Adult Zois. Once a Zoi ages up to Adult, they are automatically forced to leave Adam Entertainment. Because the game is in Early Access, the career currently ends at the Senior Trainee rank with no progression to a full idol or performer role. KRAFTON is expected to expand this career path in future updates.
To start the Idol Trainee career:
Age requirement: The Zoi must be a Young Adult. This is the only career in inZOI with a single-age restriction — Adults and Middle-Aged Zois cannot apply.
City: The household must be in Dowon. The Idol Trainee is not available in Bliss Bay or other cities.
Application: Open the smartphone, go to the Careers app, and find the Adam Entertainment listing. Select Rookie Trainee to begin.
Adam Entertainment also offers a separate Employee career track for all eligible ages, but that is a different job line from the Idol Trainee path.
When creating a Zoi who will pursue the Idol Trainee career, consider selecting these traits during character creation:
Entertainer — enhances performance-related abilities and skill gains
Go-Getter — boosts ambition and work ethic, helping complete tasks faster
Being in an Amused or Confident emotional state also accelerates skill development. Maintaining positive karma and a good public image supports the idol persona.
Work days: Monday through Friday (5 days per week)
Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Days off: Saturday and Sunday
The five-day work week is more demanding than the Firefighter career's four-day schedule, leaving only weekends free for hobbies, socializing, and need management. If all tasks are completed before 6:00 PM, the Zoi is allowed to leave early and still receives full pay.
The Idol Trainee career has three ranks with modest but increasing pay in Meow:
Rookie Trainee — 136 Meow per pay cycle (3 slots available)
Junior Trainee — 400 Meow per pay cycle (3 slots available)
Senior Trainee — 600 Meow per pay cycle (3 slots available)
The starting salary of 136 Meow is among the lowest of any career in Dowon. Income improves significantly with promotions, but the Idol Trainee career is not a path to wealth — it is best pursued for the experience and the skills it develops, particularly Performance and Fitness.
The entry-level position focuses on building core idol competencies:
Morning tasks (3-hour window):
Change into practice clothes at the wardrobe (1 time)
Dance training at the practice mirror (3 times)
Vocal practice with the microphone (3 times)
Afternoon tasks (5-hour window):
Workout in the fitness room (3 times)
Additional dance training (3 times)
Study session on a computer (20 minutes)
Tip: Prioritize vocal practice first each day. Each vocal session takes a long time to complete, and falling behind on vocals is the most common reason for task failure at this rank.
The second rank introduces language study and production coursework:
Morning tasks (3-hour window):
Change into practice clothes at the wardrobe (1 time)
Study producing on a computer (20 minutes)
Workout in the fitness room (5 times)
Afternoon tasks (5-hour window):
Vocal practice with the microphone (3 times)
Dance training at the practice mirror (5 times)
Study languages on a computer (20 minutes)
The increased number of dance repetitions (5 instead of 3) and the addition of two study tasks make this rank noticeably harder to complete within the time limits. Save before each workday — even one day of failed tasks can lead to termination, and since aging happens in the background, there is no time to recover from setbacks.
The final rank adds performance review and stage costume elements:
Morning tasks (3-hour window):
Change into stage costume at the wardrobe (1 time)
Study languages on a computer (20 minutes)
Workout in the fitness room (5 times)
Afternoon tasks (5-hour window):
Vocal practice with the microphone (3 times)
Dance training at the practice mirror (5 times)
Review recordings on a computer (20 minutes)
Since Senior Trainee is the final rank in the current version, there is no further promotion to work toward. The pressure to complete every task is reduced, and Zois can focus on enjoying the routine and leveling their skills without worrying about career progression.
The Idol Trainee career is one of the best ways to passively develop multiple skills simultaneously:
Performance — leveled through dance training and vocal practice sessions
Fitness — leveled through the daily workout requirements
Charm — developed through social interactions and performance confidence
These skills carry over to other areas of life in inZOI. A high Performance skill benefits instrument playing, while Fitness improvements help with physical tasks across all career paths.
The Idol Trainee career has the most restrictive age requirement of any job in inZOI. Only Young Adult Zois can hold these positions. The moment a Zoi ages up to Adult, they are automatically terminated from Adam Entertainment regardless of their current rank or progress.
This design reflects the real-world K-pop training system, where entertainment companies typically recruit and train young performers. Players who want to experience the full three-rank progression should begin as early as possible in the Young Adult life stage.
In the current Early Access version, there is no way to continue as a full idol after aging up. KRAFTON has hinted at expanding the career to include debuted idol and performer ranks in future updates, which would presumably be available to Adult Zois.
Start the career immediately upon reaching Young Adult to maximize the time available for all three promotions before aging up.
Choose quick workout exercises like dumbbell lifts and lat pulldowns. Avoid time-consuming activities like treadmill running and yoga, which risk eating into your task windows.
Complete vocal practice first each morning — it is consistently the most time-consuming task across all three ranks.
Leave computer-based study tasks (language, producing, recording review) for last. They are short and will not auto-stop, so you can cancel them if time runs out without penalty.
Manage your Zoi's needs carefully the night before work. A well-rested, well-fed Zoi performs tasks faster and is less likely to become distracted.
Save your game before each workday. If tasks fail and your Zoi faces termination, you can reload and retry with better time management.
Use weekends to build the Charm and Fitness skills at home. Higher skill levels make work tasks complete faster the following week.
Adam Entertainment is located on the east side of Dowon. The building contains practice rooms with mirrors, a vocal booth with microphones, a fitness area, computer stations for study tasks, and wardrobes for changing into practice clothes or stage costumes. The layout is relatively compact compared to workplaces like the Dowon Fire Station, so navigating between task stations is generally fast.
The Idol Trainee career is widely expected to receive significant expansion as inZOI exits Early Access. Community wishlists on the official forums include requests for actual debut performances, fan meet events, music video filming, reality show appearances, and rivalry mechanics with other trainees. Whether KRAFTON implements all of these features remains to be seen, but the existing career framework provides a solid foundation for a much deeper K-pop simulation experience.
