Home Services are professional services in inZOI that players can hire to handle household tasks. Rather than having Zois personally clean the house, fix broken appliances, or watch over children, players can pay Meow to have a professional come to the home and do the work. Services are ordered through the Pocket Market app on the Zoi's smartphone, making them easily accessible at any time.
Home services are especially valuable for households where the Zois are focused on career advancement or skill development and cannot afford to spend hours each day on domestic chores. They represent a trade-off: spend Meow to save time, or do the work yourself to save money and build the Housework skill.
The cleaning service sends a professional cleaner to the Zoi's home. The cleaner will mop floors, wipe countertops, scrub bathrooms, take out trash, and generally restore the home to a clean state. Cleanliness affects the Hygiene need of Zois living in the household; a dirty home causes a slow drain on Hygiene satisfaction, while a clean home provides a passive comfort bonus.
To order the cleaning service, open the Pocket Market app and navigate to the services section. Select "Cleaning" and confirm the order. The cleaner arrives within a short in-game time window and works through the house systematically. The duration of the visit depends on how messy the home is. A moderately dirty house takes about one in-game hour to clean; a severely neglected home may take longer.
The repair service handles broken appliances and fixtures. Over time, household items like sinks, toilets, dishwashers, televisions, and computers can break down, especially if they are heavily used or low quality. Broken items cannot be used until repaired and may cause additional problems (a broken sink leaks water, creating puddles that lower the home's cleanliness).
Ordering a repairman through the Pocket Market dispatches a technician to the home. The repairman will fix all currently broken items in a single visit. This is the most convenient option for players who do not want to invest in the Tinkering skill, which allows Zois to repair items themselves. However, Zois who do their own repairs gain Tinkering experience, while hiring a repairman provides no skill benefit.
The nanny service provides childcare for households with babies, toddlers, or children. The nanny arrives at the home and takes over child supervision duties, feeding, entertaining, and watching over young Zois so the parents can leave the lot, go to work, or focus on other activities without worrying about neglecting their kids.
This is particularly important for single-parent households or families where both parents have demanding jobs. Without a nanny or a stay-at-home parent, leaving young Zois unsupervised can lead to unmet needs, unhappiness, and potential visits from social services if children's needs drop too low.
All home services cost Meow, the primary in-game currency. The exact price varies by service type and the scope of work required:
Service | Cost Range | Duration |
|---|---|---|
Cleaning | Low to moderate | 1-2 in-game hours |
Repair | Moderate | Varies by number of broken items |
Nanny | Moderate (per visit) | Several in-game hours |
The costs are designed to be affordable for established households with a steady income from careers or businesses, but they can strain the budget of early-game households that are still building up savings. Players should weigh the time savings against the financial cost when deciding whether to use services regularly.
The Pocket Market is the in-game smartphone app where all home services are ordered. To access it, have your Zoi pull out their phone and tap the Pocket Market icon. The services section lists all available service types with descriptions and prices. Tap the desired service, confirm the order, and a professional will arrive at the home shortly.
Services can be ordered at any time of day, though response times may vary. The Pocket Market also offers other household items for delivery, including groceries and furniture, making it a one-stop shop for home management.
Busy career households: When both adult Zois work full-time, there is little time left for chores. Services keep the home functional without sacrificing career progress.
Skill-focused gameplay: If your Zois are grinding skills like Cooking or Art, outsourcing cleaning and repairs frees up valuable time.
New parents: The nanny service is almost essential for dual-income families with a new baby or toddler.
Broken appliances: If no household member has the Tinkering skill, the repair service is the only quick fix for broken items.
If you want to save Meow in the long run, invest in the Housework and Tinkering skills so your Zois can handle chores and repairs themselves.
The nanny service is a temporary solution. As children grow into teens, they no longer require supervision and the service becomes unnecessary.
Order cleaning services before hosting a party or social event to ensure the house looks its best for guests.
Keep an eye on your Meow balance. Regular service use adds up, and running out of money while relying on services can leave your household in a tough spot.
