Challenges and Rulesets

InZOI does not have a built-in challenge or scenario system, but the community has developed a variety of self-imposed rulesets that add structure, difficulty, and storytelling to the game. These challenges are inspired by similar traditions in other life simulation games and adapted to InZOI's specific mechanics, including its traits, careers, Desired Life ambitions, and skill systems.
All challenges listed here are community-driven. There are no in-game rewards or tracking for completing them; the satisfaction comes from the gameplay experience itself.
The classic life simulation challenge, adapted for InZOI. The goal is to start with absolutely nothing and build a comfortable life through hard work alone.
Create a new Zoi and move them into the cheapest available lot.
Set your starting Meow (currency) to 0 using the household funds adjustment.
Your Zoi must not have a job at the start. They must find employment on their own after moving in.
No cheats of any kind. No money cheats, no need cheats, no free items.
You may not accept gifts of money from other Zois.
The challenge ends when your Zoi owns a fully furnished home and has at least 100,000 Meow in savings.
Start by collecting and selling items found around the city to earn your first Meow.
Part-time jobs and odd gigs pay less but require fewer skills to land.
Focus on one career track and invest in the relevant skills early.
Play through multiple generations of a family, with each generation tackling a new goal. This challenge tests long-term planning and household management.
Start with a single Zoi (Generation 1). They must complete their Desired Life ambition before they age into an elder.
When Generation 1 has a child, that child becomes Generation 2. They must choose a different Desired Life ambition than their parent.
Each generation must complete their chosen Desired Life before the next generation takes over.
You may never move out of the original lot. All generations live on the same property.
The challenge continues until you complete 5 or 10 generations (your choice).
Plan your household finances carefully. A bad generation can drain the family savings.
Choose traits that complement each generation's Desired Life goal.
Expand and renovate the family home with each generation to mark their contribution.
A financial endurance challenge. Your Zoi must pay every bill on time through legitimate income, with no shortcuts.
No money cheats at any point during gameplay.
All bills must be paid on time. If a bill goes unpaid, the challenge is failed.
You may not downgrade your lot to reduce bills. Once you move in, that is your home.
Income must come from a career or business. Selling personal items is permitted, but exploiting item duplication bugs is not.
Raise a child as a single parent while maintaining a career. This challenge puts pressure on time management and need balancing.
Your household must consist of exactly one adult Zoi and one child.
The parent must hold a full-time job throughout the challenge.
You may not hire outside help (no nannies or babysitters).
The child must maintain passing grades in school.
The challenge ends when the child ages up to a young adult with at least one maxed skill.
Build a crime organization from the ground up. This challenge takes advantage of InZOI's criminal career paths and underworld mechanics.
Your Zoi must start as a Street Soldier or Gangster (available in Bliss Bay).
Work your way up to the Crime Boss rank.
Recruit at least 3 other Zois into your criminal network (build relationships and convince them to join).
Own at least one business as a front for operations.
The Authoritarian trait is recommended but not required.
Max every skill on a single Zoi. This is a pure grind challenge that tests patience and efficient time management.
Choose a single Zoi. They must reach the maximum level in every available skill.
No skill-boosting cheats are allowed.
The Zoi must also maintain a career (cannot be unemployed for the duration).
Time-based mods or speed adjustments are not permitted.
Own and successfully operate every type of business available in the game simultaneously.
Your Zoi must personally own at least one of every business type.
All businesses must be profitable (no net losses) at the same time.
You may hire employees but cannot use cheats to fund the businesses.
The challenge is complete when all businesses are operating profitably in the same in-game week.
These rulesets are starting points. The InZOI community regularly invents new challenges, and you can create your own by combining constraints. Good challenges typically have a clear win condition, specific restrictions on what you can and cannot do, and a trait or career requirement that shapes the experience.
