Fighting Styles in Honor of Kings: World is a general term for the individual combat identities of each Resonance in the game. Each Resonance has its own basic attack strings, three skills, ultimate, passive, and role. This page summarizes verified launch details and cross-links to individual Resonance pages. Because the game just launched on April 10, 2026, many specific ability names, cooldown values, and damage numbers have not yet been published in English-language material; readers should expect this page to expand as TiMi releases official game guides.
Every Resonance in Honor of Kings: World shares the same high-level kit structure, even though the specific abilities differ dramatically:
Basic attack string with a unique weapon and combat rhythm
Three active skills on short cooldowns
One evasive or dodge ability
One ultimate ability with a longer cooldown and higher impact
A passive that ties the kit together thematically
Players weave abilities into basic attack strings rather than treating them as a binary "auto-attack vs ability" choice. Short cooldowns encourage frequent ability use. The ultimate is charged through combat actions and deals the highest payoff in the kit.
The Primal Flow is the protagonist's innate style and the only Resonance that offers a four-weapon cycle: ring blade, lance, hammer, and sword. Each weapon has its own moveset and handling, and players can cycle between them while in the Primal Flow style. This is a feature unique to the protagonist; hero Resonances use their signature weapon without a weapon-cycle option.

The 10 other S0 launch Resonances each have a distinct combat identity. Detailed per-hero styles are documented on their individual pages:
Dongfang Yao - Sword-based dash combat with mid-air marker release
Xi Shi - Backline Support with damage amplification and healing
Meng Ya - Ranged artillery specialist
Master Lu Ban - Mechanical summons and pull-based Support
Sun Bin - Time-slowing Support with Reverse Flow Time
Wang Zhaojun - Ice and snow sorcery
Jialuo - Ranged bow Offensive
Mulan - Dual-wield to greatsword dual-form Confrontation
Kai - Parry-focused Confrontation with Demon Armor
Leng Chun - S0 original hero with dual-form Mo Sha transformation
Some previous English-language coverage published detailed ability lists, specific damage values, and named passives for every hero. A significant portion of those details were either carryover from the Honor of Kings MOBA (which does not reflect HoKW balancing) or third-party fabrications not sourced to any TiMi material. This page avoids those details in favor of verified Chinese-source information. As TiMi publishes official English game guides, this page will be expanded with verified ability names, damage profiles, and rotation tips.
