Overview
Character customization in Honor of Kings: World allows players to create a personalized Flowborn protagonist. The system covers gender, physical appearance, voice, and starting Flow style. While the protagonist's identity as the Son/Daughter of Primordial Flow is fixed narratively, their visual presentation is fully customizable.
Gender selection
Players choose between male and female character models at the start of the game. The choice affects the character's base body type, voice options, and certain dialogue variations. Both genders have access to the same Flow styles, abilities, gear, and story content.
Appearance editor
The appearance editor provides detailed control over facial features, hair, skin tone, body proportions, and other physical characteristics. The system uses preset templates that can be further refined with sliders for granular adjustments.
Item | Description |
|---|---|
Face | presets + individual sliders for eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, cheekbones |
Hair | multiple styles and colors, including fantasy options |
Skin | skin tone slider with a wide range of options |
Body | height and build adjustments within class-appropriate ranges |
Voice | multiple voice preset options per gender |
Markings | tattoos, scars, and facial markings |
Starting Flow style
During character creation, players choose their first Flow style, which determines their initial combat moveset. Additional styles are unlocked through gameplay progression. The starting style does not lock the player into a specific path, all styles become available eventually.
Post-creation changes
Appearance can be changed after creation through in-game barbershops and cosmetic items. Some customization changes are free (hair style and color), while others may require premium currency. Full appearance resets are available as well.
Transmog and hero appearance
Through the hero transformation system, players can eventually unlock the ability to permanently adopt a hero's visual appearance as a transmog. This replaces the Flowborn's custom appearance with the hero's model while retaining all gameplay functionality.
