Caiyun Basin (彩云盆地), also referenced in CN coverage as Caiyun Plateau, is the explorable region introduced live in the S1 World Beginning Season of Honor of Kings: World. The region unlocked at S1 launch on May 29, 2026 as the first major expansion of the Open World Map beyond the S0 Jixia Academy region and its surrounding plains.

In the broader continent of Primaera, Caiyun Basin sits among the announced post-S0 regions; the launch S0 build covered roughly one-tenth of the full designed world, and S1 begins the season-by-season rollout of the remaining nine-tenths.

Live S1 coverage confirms the following:

• Arrival: live with the S1 opening patch on May 29, 2026

• Naming: 彩云盆地 (Caiyun Basin) is the canonical Chinese label; English sources also render it as Caiyun Plateau

• Position: first major new exploration region after the S0 Jixia content

• Pairing: launches alongside the new Resonances Sun Shangxiang and Longya plus Chapter 9 (Guixu Dream Performance)

Confirmed S1 Region Features (Catalog-Level)

S1 ships a set of catalog-level features attached to Caiyun Basin that are documented separately:

• Story unlocks via Chapter 9: Guixu Dream Performance, continuing the 归虚 narrative arc that began in Chapter 8

• Second-half dungeon: Cangmang Riverboat

• New Resonances rooted in or arriving with the region: Sun Shangxiang, Longya, and Fei Han

• Catch-up event for late-joining players, gating onto the region's recommended gear curve, documented separately

Live exploration tracks: the 溯闻：彩云三叠 (Suwen: Caiyun Three-Fold) track is live in the region and includes the Mulan biography episode 花木兰：归雁不还 ("The Wild Goose Returns No More"). Granular collectible counts and per-track completion rewards remain pending guide-site documentation.

Relationship to Future Regions

Caiyun Basin is the first of several already-announced future regions. Per the catalog-level Content Roadmap the post-S1 future-region pipeline also includes 孤叶山 (Solitary Leaf Mountain, with Li Bai content and a Martial Arts Meet), 元初学院 (Yuanchu Academy), and 灭境荒原 (Wasteland of Annihilation). Specific season placement for those regions has not been announced.
