Where to Get and Use Items
You receive the Sealed Letter right after the opening cutscene, plus a free lockpick, torch, and Hunter's Knife at the start.
Materials and trophies drop from creatures you hunt; skinning skills increase what you can take.
Use steel to forge weapons, lockpicks to open chests and doors, and ore nuggets to buy goods, learn skills, and upgrade armor.
