Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses

Gothic 1 Remake launches in two main SKUs: a Standard Edition available on every supported platform and a limited Collector’s Edition with a fixed 7,500-unit global allocation. Pre-order bonuses differ between PC and console, and a regional retail edition for the German-speaking territories was added late in the cycle. Pre-orders opened on April 7, 2026 ahead of the June 5, 2026 launch.

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition contains the base game with no physical extras. Pricing splits by platform.

Collector’s Edition

The Collector’s Edition is a single global SKU at EUR 199.99. Production is capped at 7,500 units worldwide, sold through a small number of authorised storefronts, and several regional allocations have closed early.

• Price. EUR 199.99. Equivalent regional prices in other currencies are set by the local store; the EUR figure is the published reference.
• Allocation. 7,500 units globally. Once each retailer’s slice sells through, no further units are produced.
• Platforms. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The platform is chosen at checkout; the box contents are identical across platforms aside from the disc.

Regional Retail Edition

A regional retailer edition for the German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) was announced shortly before launch. It is a physical Standard Edition packaged with a German-language box and is sold only through local retail. Contents are otherwise identical to the international Standard Edition; pre-order bonuses follow the platform rules below.

Pre-Order Bonuses

Pre-order bonuses depend on the platform and on whether the order is digital or physical.

All pre-orders also receive the standard storefront perks (early download, pre-load where supported) on their respective platforms. The Collector’s Edition includes the Soundtrack on CD by default and stacks with the platform-specific bonus on console.

Note On The Console Bonus

The console pre-order bonus is a free copy of the original 2001 game. The 2001 game is a separate product from Gothic 1 Remake and is out of scope for this wiki. The bonus is included here for completeness of the SKU table; this wiki does not describe the original game’s mechanics, story, or quests, and does not link to a dedicated page for it. Treat the bonus as a perk on the console SKU only.

Day-One Update

The studio has confirmed that physical disc copies will require a launch-day download of approximately 5 GB to be fully playable. The update is needed once, on first run, to bring the game to its launch state. After the update has installed, the full game runs offline. Permanent online connectivity is not required, and there is no live-service component.

Disc packaging does not advertise the requirement, so plan on having an internet connection available at first launch. Subsequent sessions, including those on a console that has been disconnected from the network, do not need to reach a server.

• PlayStation 5. Console digital and physical SKUs through the PlayStation Store and physical retailers.

• Collector’s Edition. Limited allocation through the publisher’s direct store and a short list of authorised retailers. Several regional allocations have closed already.
