Ninae is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The one trait Nintendo has singled out for her is that she can hear what the game calls spirits. She does not belong to any of the four Heroes' clans: she is won over through recruitment during the story, and she was the first character outside the four Heroes confirmed as recruitable.

Roster Status
Most of the revealed cast is indexed under one of the named clans that fight in the Heroic Games. Ninae is not. She sits in the group of confirmed playable characters whose team has not been announced, which fits how she was shown: as someone the player talks into joining rather than someone handed to a Hero at the start of a chapter. See Factions for how the clans are organised and List of Characters for the full roster.
Recruitment
Ninae was used as the worked example for how recruiting functions. In the June 9, 2026 trailer that gave the game its release date, Leda approaches her and the menu offers gifts, a recruitment attempt, and a look at her character information. Success is described as depending on meeting certain conditions or fulfilling her requests. Her face is animated during that conversation rather than shown as a static portrait.
The dedicated Nintendo Direct on August 4, 2026 returned to her in the segment on winning people over in Dagsion, where she accepts a gift with a one-word thanks. Recruiting anyone takes two separate kinds of progress: a Support level raised through gifts and shared meals, and a Renown level raised by clearing story chapters and quests. Individual characters carry their own minimum, and Ninae is reported to need Support level 3.
A line recorded for her sets the tone of that first approach: "You want me to join you? How strange. Most people find me a bit frightening."
Notes
Her outfit carries a Crest marking, referred to in pre-launch material as a Diadem. Nothing has been published about what any individual Diadem does in this game, so read the marking as a design detail rather than a known gameplay effect. No class, join chapter or voice credit has been announced for her.
