Dated and surfaced the missing class and recruitment data
Io is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, a mercenary working out of Dagsion who used to be a knight of the Kingdom of Arago. He is quiet, he keeps his own standards, and he rides a horse he did not buy.

Io served the Kingdom of Arago as a knight, with the stated aim of protecting the happiness of its people. The king's self-righteous conduct wore that down until he left the country entirely, and he has supported himself as a mercenary in Dagsion since. He inherited his horse, Rocinan, from his late father, and the animal is treated in his profile as the one thing he carried out of his old life.
He is described as an ambitious young man with high standards. His listed likes are chivalry, self-discipline and Rocinan; his interests are caring for the horse and staying quiet. The last of those is listed as a preference rather than a manner, which fits a character who walked out of a knighthood rather than argue about it.
Skill | Effect |
|---|---|
Mounted Push | Activates when he uses his mobility to strike first, raising his hit rate |
The skill pays out for initiating, so it rewards spending his movement to reach an enemy rather than holding position and taking the counterattack. See Skills for how personal abilities sit alongside class and weapon skills.
Io fights alongside Rocinan and is built around mobility, closing distance to strike before the enemy does. A pre-release screenshot shows him in the Cataphract class.
Language | Name |
|---|---|
Japanese | イオ |
Korean | 이오 |
Traditional Chinese | 伊歐 |
In Greek mythology Io was an Argive princess and one of the mortal lovers of Zeus; the Ionian Islands take their name from her.
As of September 2026, no official profile or class listing names his starting class, and the Cataphract screenshot is a single frame rather than a stated class listing. No stats or growths have appeared for any unit in this game, and his recruitment conditions, his support partners and his father's name are absent from those surfaces too.
The kingdom he left is covered on Arago, and Nathan and Creek are the two Aragonian knights encountered as bosses. For the mercenary grouping he is indexed under, see Factions.
