Benditz
September 23, 2026 at 07:24 AM
Corrected Dietrich's boss chapter to Chapter 4 and added qualifier details and per-path recruitment table
Benditz leads the Thundercloud Knights, one of the smaller clans fighting in the Heroic Games of 1449. He is playable, he fights as a Charioteer, and he wants to be a general. He is also a clean example of a pattern this game uses often: the same clan leader stands as an opponent in one Hero's chapters and fights alongside the player elsewhere.
Field | Detail |
|---|---|
Japanese name | ベンディッツ |
Gender | Male |
Clan | Thundercloud Knights, as its leader |
Class | |
Role | Playable, and a boss on two routes |
Ambition | To become a general |
Voice | Not yet documented |
Each of the four Heroes runs their own numbered chapters, and Benditz is the chapter boss in two of them. The route structure means a player who takes all four Heroes through their stories will fight him twice and can also field him.
Appearance | Detail |
|---|---|
Boss against Ribeira Winds | Cai route, Part 1 Chapter 5, as a Charioteer |
Boss against House Lamine | Dietrich route, Part 1 Chapter 4, Brute Force, as a qualifier match |

Playable | Shown as a Charioteer fighting alongside Leda |
The Direct used one of his matches to explain how a battle ends. Defeating the leader of the opposing side is one of the victory conditions, and Benditz is the leader on screen when that rule is spelled out. A commercial shows the other side of it, with Dietrich putting him down.
On Dietrich's path the fight is the qualifier match that closes Chapter 4, Brute Force. Dietrich fights on the same side as Cai and Anatolia, the battle is lost if any of the three falls, and it is won by defeating Benditz. Toppling pillars on the map cuts down the movement of the enemy chariots, and chests in the southeast and northwest hold a Zanbato and an Iron Shield; if an enemy unit reaches a chest first, the item can be taken back by defeating that unit.
What has been published about him is a single ambition, delivered as he falls: "My great dream... I'll be a general yet..." As of September 2026, this wiki has not yet documented his background, his kingdom of origin or his relationship with the other clan leaders.
Benditz can be recruited in Part I on all four paths with no item or quest attached, only a Support level with that path's lord and a minimum Renown level. He begins to appear in Dagsion around 4/11 on the in-game calendar.
Path | Support level | Renown | Other requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
Cai's path | 3 | 9 | None |
Dietrich's path | 2 | 7 | None |
Theodora's path | 1 | 8 | None |
Leda's path | 3 | 7 | None |
His clan is named only through him. As of September 2026, this wiki has not documented any other member of the Thundercloud Knights. Factions covers the full set of clans in the tournament.
The Charioteer he fights as sits on the Specialty tier described on Classes. He is a chapter boss on two of the four campaigns, against Cai in Part 1 Chapter 5 and against Dietrich in Part 1 Chapter 4.
