Necklaces are trinket-class equipment in Fatekeeper. They occupy a single slot and typically carry magic-related modifiers, stat tweaks, or unique build-shaping effects. Pre-launch material lists necklaces alongside rings as part of the gear loadout but does not yet detail specific named necklaces.
Slot Position
The Druid wears one necklace at a time. Together with the two ring slots, necklaces form the jewelry pair on the loadout, and pre-release coverage frames the pair as the most magic-leaning slot group on the character. Where armor and helmets focus on physical mitigation, jewelry tends to push spell behavior, school affinity, and special activations.
Likely Roles
Role | What It Does |
|---|---|
Spell modifier | Increases magic damage, cast speed, or affinity for a single school of magic. |
Stat tweak | Flat or scaling bonus to one of the core attributes, sometimes with a downside on a different stat. |
Unique effect | Single named effect that reshapes a build (chance to refund a consumable, frost ricochet, etc.). |
Resistance line | Mitigation against a damage type or status, useful for biome-specific runs. |
How They Pair With Builds
Pyromancer builds tend to want necklaces that boost cast speed, fire damage, or projectile count, complementing the perks listed in Build Guide: Pyromancer.
Ice Shatter builds prize necklaces that improve freeze chance or shatter damage, working with Ice Magic and Shatter.
Dagger Skirmisher builds skew toward stamina, throw recovery, or critical-line modifiers, pairing with Daggers.
Consumable Alchemist builds want necklaces that extend buff duration or reduce consumable cost, complementing Alchemy.
Inspect Mechanic
Like other items, necklaces can be examined up close through the inspect mechanic. Engravings, sigils, and small inscriptions on a necklace often reference the world's lore: an Underdweller crest, a Sky Cult symbol, or a Sentinel sigil. See Inspecting Items for the broader system.
