Rings are trinket-class equipment in Fatekeeper. The Druid can wear multiple rings, each typically carrying a magic-related modifier, a stat tweak, or a unique effect. Pre-launch material confirms rings as a slot in the loadout, paired with necklaces as the jewelry slot group.
Two-Ring Stacking
Pre-release coverage and dev-blog screenshots show two ring slots side by side on the loadout. Wearing two rings means the player can layer two distinct modifiers on the build, as long as the items themselves are not flagged exclusive. This is one of the most flexible slots in the game: a single ring change can convert a generalist build into a specialist.
Likely Effect Categories
Category | Examples |
|---|---|
Stat scaling | Flat or percentage bonus to a core attribute (strength, intellect, agility, vitality). |
School affinity | Boosts to a single school of magic, sharpening fire, ice, or wind specialists. |
Spell modifier | Cast speed, projectile count, ricochet chance, frost or fire damage uplift. |
Build-shaping unique | A single named ring that gates a specific perk synergy. |
Resistance line | Mitigation against a damage type or status condition. |
Magic-Leaning Flavor
Pre-release coverage frames rings as magic-leaning, similar to relics, with potential to nudge a build toward a specific school or behavior. Where relics tend to be larger build-defining items with rich lore, rings sit one tier down: meaningful, swappable per fight, but rarely the centerpiece of an entire build.
That positioning matters when looting. A pair of strong rings is usually easier to find than the right single relic, which makes ring swaps the natural between-region adjustment a player makes.
Stack Rules and Exclusivity
Two important details remain unconfirmed:
Identical bonuses. Whether two copies of the same ring (or two different rings with the same effect line) stack additively, multiplicatively, or use the higher of the two values is unrevealed.
Unique tag. Some rings are likely tagged unique, meaning only one of that named ring can be equipped. The exact rule is pending.
Inspect Lore
Like other items, rings can be inspected up close for engravings and recipe hints. See Inspecting Items for the broader system. Some rings reference Underdweller smithing, sky-cult sigils, or Sentinel inscriptions, tying small build choices to the wider Lore Overview.
Named Rings
The first named ring confirmed in the live build is the Wardens Loop, which carries a resistance line. A June 2026 update fixed its resistances not being applied correctly. Its full stat block has not been published, but it confirms that rings can carry resistance modifiers as suggested above.
Open Questions
Specific named rings, exact stack rules between identical bonuses, and whether some rings are flagged unique are pending the Early Access build.
Whether the second ring slot unlocks immediately or is tied to a perk node is unconfirmed.
Whether a future patch increases the ring slot count is speculative.
