Armor occupies the body slot of the Druid's loadout. It is the largest single defense investment, and the choice trades damage absorption against movement freedom. Armor is a distinct equipment slot in the shipped Early Access build. As of the 0.1.3 build Paraglacial has published no named armor sets or stat profiles, but the game files carry thirteen named pieces and three chest weight classes, listed further down this page.
Role

Damage reduction. Heavier armor reduces incoming damage from melee and physical attacks.
Movement weight. Chest pieces are tagged Light, Medium or Heavy in the game files. Heavier armor likely affects dodge speed, sprint endurance, or stamina costs (specific rules unconfirmed).
Resistance. Some armor pieces may carry elemental resistance values, useful against Arcane Wielders and corrupted wildlife.
Build Considerations
Role | Likely Armor Choice |
|---|---|
Bruiser / tank | Heavier armor, accept the dodge weight cost. |
Skirmisher | Lighter armor for dodge speed. |
Caster | Lighter armor with elemental resists. |
Live-Build Balance
A June 2026 update changed the stats on a certain light armor so it is a valid choice for certain builds, an early sign that lighter body options are being tuned to compete with heavier ones rather than being a pure dodge-weight tradeoff. The specific set was not named.
The Named Armor Roster
The roster below is compiled from the 0.1.3 game files by the player community. Paraglacial has not published an item list, so treat exact numbers as approximate and expect them to move between patches; the names themselves are stable and several of them appear verbatim in shipped change logs.
Thirteen named pieces appear in the 0.1.3 files, split six chest and seven head. Chest armor is tagged with one of three weight classes, Light, Medium or Heavy, which is the clearest confirmation so far that the weight tradeoff described above is a real classification and not just a description.
Piece | Slot | Class | Rarity | Stat Lines |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Druids Plaid | Chest | Light | Common | Physical Resistance +3% |
Leather Armor | Chest | Light | Common | Physical Resistance +8% |
Ornate Leather Armor | Chest | Light | Uncommon | Slash Resistance +6%, Mana +10, +5% damage against elemental and arcane foes |
Antler Coat | Chest | Light | Rare | Physical Resistance +5% |
Starter Armor | Chest | Medium | Uncommon | Physical Resistance +7%, no movement or dash penalty |
Bulwark of the Fourth | Chest | Heavy | Uncommon | Physical Resistance +10% |
Full Helmet | Head | n/a | Common | Pierce Resistance +5%, Slash Resistance +5% |
Ceremonial Helmet | Head | n/a | Rare | Health +25, Stamina +15 |
Darkguard Helmet | Head | n/a | Rare | Physical Resistance +7%, Health +5 |
Lizardskin Headdress | Head | n/a | Rare | Elemental Resistance +15%, Poison Resistance +10% |
Pyromancers Circlet | Head | n/a | Epic | Casting Speed +20%, Fire damage +10% |
Basinet of the Omniscient | Head | n/a | Legendary | Health +10, Mana +10, flat resistance line |
Radiant Crown | Head | n/a | Legendary | Physical Resistance +4%, Attack Speed +5%, Melee damage +5% |
Two things stand out. The heaviest chest piece in the files carries a Physical Resistance line only four points above the best light option, so the weight tradeoff is currently gentler than the framing suggests. And the head slot is where the build-shaping lines live: the Pyromancers Circlet and the Radiant Crown push offense rather than mitigation, which makes helmets a more interesting choice than chest armor at the top of the rarity scale.
Open Questions
Set bonuses and the exact cost that a heavier chest class imposes on dodge, sprint and stamina are still unconfirmed. Weight tiers and per-piece resistance lines are recorded above, but nothing published by the developer backs the numbers. The Early Access build is now live, so named sets and stat profiles can be documented as they are confirmed in play; this page will expand accordingly.
