The Tardik Greataxe is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert from the Tardik equipment line, which also includes the Tardik Shield. With 19 base attack power and Critical Rate Lv. 2, it offers one of the strongest overall stat profiles among standard greataxes, balancing high damage with a meaningful crit chance bonus.
The Tardik Greataxe sits at the top tier of standard greataxes alongside the Gorthak Greataxewhich shares the same 19 attack and Lv. 2 crit rate. Both outperform the Iris Greataxe and Patterned Stone Greataxe in raw attack power (19 vs. 18) while offering a slightly lower crit tier (Lv. 2 vs. Lv. 3). This trade-off generally favors the higher base damage in most practical combat scenarios.

The five Abyss Gear slots on the Tardik Greataxe can be used to amplify either its crit potential or its raw damage. The Lv. 2 Critical Rate provides a solid baseline for crit buildsand adding crit-focused Abyss Cores on top can create a loadout where critical hits are common without sacrificing too much base power. For players who want pure consistency, stacking attack power cores on a weapon that already has 19 base attack creates a formidable raw-damage setup.
At 19 attack with Lv. 2 crit, the Tardik Greataxe is functionally identical to the Gorthak Greataxe. Both deliver the same damage profile in Oongka's hands. The wide horizontal swings of the greataxe moveset hit multiple enemies per swing, and the Lv. 2 crit rate means a meaningful portion of those hits will land as criticals.
Compared to the Bonepit Greataxe (19 attack, Crit Rate Lv. 2) and the Hellhounds' Chopping Axe (19 attack, Crit Rate Lv. 2), the Tardik Greataxe offers identical combat performance. These three weapons, along with the Gorthak Greataxe, form a group of interchangeable top-tier greataxes where refinement investment and personal visual preference determine which one to use.
If you also own the Tardik Shieldnote that the shield is a one-handed accessory. You cannot use both the Tardik Shield and Tardik Greataxe at the same time, since the greataxe requires both hands.
The 19 base attack makes this weapon worth investing refinement materials into. Each refinement level adds to an already strong foundation.
Use Oongka's jumping attacks to close distance and land aerial greataxe slams. The area-of-effect impact can hit multiple enemies and benefits from the Lv. 2 crit rate.
