Rising Arrow Shield is a shield in Crimson Desert. It is classified as Rare (Tier 3) equipment with a base Defense of 2 and a base Guard Rate of 2.
A shield forged in Calphade. True to its nickname, the "Unyielding Shield," Calphadean shields are renown for their quality. With it, warriors march proudly into battle once again.
In addition to its base stats, this shield provides Attack Speed Lv.1, Movement Speed Lv.1.

The Rising Arrow Shield has 2 Abyss Core slots, allowing players to customize the shield with passive bonuses. Cores can be socketed or removed at no cost through a witch NPC, making it easy to experiment with different setups.
Fortification I (Defense +3): A straightforward defense boost that helps offset this shield's base defense.
Fortitude I (Guard Stamina Consumption -3.0%): Reduces stamina drained when blocking, making sustained defense more efficient.
Aegis I (Damage Reduction 1.0): Provides flat damage reduction per hit, useful for absorbing chip damage from enemy combos.
The Rising Arrow Shield must be crafted rather than found as a drop or purchased from a vendor. To get the crafting blueprint, you need to travel to Calpheon Castle and climb all the way to the top of the castle. Bring a mask with you, because the blueprint must be stolen.
Once at the top of the castle, locate the blueprint and equip your thieving mask before interacting with it. After stealing the blueprint, you will need to study and examine the pages to learn the crafting recipe. Once learned, the Rising Arrow Shield can be crafted at any Blacksmith (smithy).
When maxed out at +10 refinement, the Rising Arrow Shield provides 15 Defense, along with bonuses to both Movement Speed and Attack Speed. While the shield may not be the most visually attractive option available, its stat spread is excellent. The combination of high defense with both speed stats on a single piece of equipment makes it one of the best shields in the game for players who value performance over appearance.
The Rising Arrow Shield is a standard one-hand shield that balances defensive stats with mobility. Standard shields are lighter than large shields, allowing for quicker movement and attack transitions during combat.
With bonuses to both Attack Speed and Movement Speed, this shield supports an aggressive, mobile fighting style. The faster attack speed pairs well with one-handed weapons for quick combo strings, while the movement speed bonus helps with repositioning during fights.
At base Defense 2, the shield scales to 14 at max refinement. Refinement should be prioritized if you plan to keep this shield as your primary defensive option for an extended period.
