Patch 1.16.00 was released on August 1, 2026 across all platforms. It is the largest post-launch economy update so far, rebuilding much of the Trading loop and expanding the Bank systems, alongside a long list of quest, combat, and stability fixes. Four hotfixes followed between August 2 and August 5. For the full running list see Patch Notes.
Trading Overhaul
Trading Posts
Added 133 new trading posts, including the merchant at the Pailune Trading Post. New posts appear as you progress the related quests.
Adjusted the overall types and quantities of goods sold at trading posts.
Posts that are hard to reach by wagon now pay more.
Trade good prices now change when too many of the same good are sold at a single location.
Increased the overall profit earned through trading.
Wagons no longer disappear after delivering trade goods to a royal trading post.
Quadrupled the prices of trade goods at royal trading posts.
Trade Goods
Added 24 new types of high-value trade goods and 4 new types of regular trade goods.
Packaged trade goods now stack up to 10 or 100 depending on their price.
Unpackaged trade items in the inventory now stack up to 5 or 50 per slot.
A single trade good can now be sold on its own.
Trade goods can now be moved between your wagon and your horse.
Increased the amount of trade goods lost when retrieving your horse or wagon, or when destroying your wagon.
Wagon Workshops
Added seven Wagon Workshops across Pywel that act as intermediate trading posts, where trade goods can be packaged and loaded mid-route: Hernand, Demeniss, Delesyia, Pailune, Tommaso, Urdavah, and Varnia.
Map and Interface
Wagon routes are now displayed on the minimap while riding a wagon.
Added a Trade tab to the map showing trading posts, royal trading posts, wagon workshops, and wagon routes, with filters for finding posts that sell specific goods.
Market prices for all goods can be checked from a trading post's details, and the average buy price is now displayed.
Items can be registered to the map item filter when focusing a packaged trade good in horse inventory, wagon inventory, a trade shop buy or sell screen, or storage.
Checking trade goods on the map now also displays their quantities on horses and wagons.
A special marker appears in the Trade tab for merchants affected by trade-related events.
Bank Changes
Adjusted the maximum number of gold bars gained or lost through bank interest to 40.
Added the Claim Bank Strongbox: depositing 10 or more bonds allows you to start investing, and bonds can be exchanged for 10 gold bars.
Added the Bond Shop, where rare items can be bought with bonds.
Notable Content Fixes
Fixed the challenges "Back Alley Cleanup," "Shield of Unchanging Will V," "Harmonious Hooves VIII," and "Overwhelming Slash II," which could not be completed or tracked correctly.
Fixed an issue where contribution points could exceed 100.
Adjusted "Where Misery Gathers" in Chapter 2 so it can only be progressed after completing "Shadow Cast Over the River."
Fixed quest blockers on "Assassinate Count Byron," the Sanctum of Transcendence Abyss, and the Spire of the Stars gate.
Renamed the "Vellua Pirates Banner Pike" to "The Dancing Catfish Pirates' Banner Pike."
Fixed the Spirit's Judgment and Warden of Darkness Abyss Gears, which were not functioning.
Fixed an issue where 421 quest-related knowledge entries did not appear in the knowledge list.
Mushrooms are now classified as alchemy materials rather than cooking materials. See Mushrooms and Herbs.
Explosive items now stack in units of 10 and can be assigned to quick slots.
Squirrel-type animals can now be skinned, and the Martial Monk's outfit set can now be dyed.
Graphics and Settings
[PC] Implemented AMD FSR SDK 2.3.0, adding FSR Upscaling 4.1 support on Radeon RX 7000 series (RDNA 3) GPUs and updating Ray Regeneration to 1.2.0.
Reduced flickering around window frame edges and similar boundaries.
Fixed an issue where some distant objects were not visible in certain areas.
Hotfixes
Four hotfixes followed the main patch: 1.16.01 on August 2, 1.16.02 on August 3, 1.16.03 on August 4, and 1.16.04 on August 5, 2026. Among them, 1.16.02 fixed a graphical problem with Ray Regeneration enabled on Radeon RX 9070 XT and higher GPUs and a Mac crash with the MetalFX Denoising Upscaler enabled.
