Overview

Leather Armors of the World, Vol. I is a crafting manual in Crimson Desert that unlocks recipes for lightweight leather armor pieces at any blacksmith. Leather armor sits between cloth and plate gear in terms of defense and mobility. It offers decent protection without the heavy stamina penalty of plate armor, making it a popular choice for players who want a balance of survivability and agility.

This is the first volume in the leather armor crafting manual series. It covers chest pieces, gloves, boots, and cloaks made from hides and leather materials found in the early and mid-game regions.

How to Obtain

Location: On a shelf in Tinkerton, Deleysia.

The manual is available for purchase from a vendor in Tinkerton. You can also pick it up directly from a shelf outside one of the houses in the area. There is no stealing required for this particular manual.

Once obtained, open your inventory and examine the book to permanently learn its recipes at every smithy in Pywel.

Unlocked Armor Pieces

After reading this manual, the following leather armor pieces become available for crafting:

Leather armor recipes generally require Thick Hide and Leather. Thick Hide can be obtained by hunting wildlife in the countryside or purchased from traders. Leather is a refined material that drops from larger beasts and can also be bought at certain shops.

Tips

• Pick up this manual early when passing through Tinkerton to unlock a full set of leather gear before heading into the mid-game regions.

• Leather armor pairs well with fast weapons like rapiers and one-handed swords due to its lower stamina cost.

• Refine your leather armor at the smithy to increase its defense values. Each refinement costs additional Thick Hide.

• Socket Abyss Cores with defensive stats to offset the lower base defense compared to plate gear.
