The Kuku Watcher Pack is a Rare Inventory item in Crimson Desert, widely regarded as one of the strongest utility packs in the game. Sometimes called the Turret Backpack, it summons two invincible hovering turret drones (similar to Gundam funnels) that follow Kliff and shoot nearby enemies on their own. The drones provide constant fire support without any player input. Against groups of bandits or other mobs, the turrets can kill enemies without trouble. Against bosses, they passively build up a massive stun meter over time. The Kuku Watcher Pack is crafted at the Kilnden Workshop using the Blueprint II: Kuku Watcher Pack, which is obtained by clearing the Sanctum of Atonement during the Witch of Kindness quest line.
A specialized tactical tool crafted from a modified Kuku Pack. It deploys two miniature Watchers to provide combat support. Once active, they scout the perimeter and open fire without mercy on any enemies they discover to protect their master. The two drones operate independently: one fires quick burst shots similar to a machine gun, while the other fires a wide spread pattern comparable to a shotgun. Together they provide overlapping fields of fire that cover both concentrated and area damage.

Crafting the Kuku Watcher Pack requires completing two Sanctum dungeons for blueprints, farming four different materials across Delesyia, and then assembling everything at the Kilnden Workshop. The full process is outlined below.
Travel to the Pailune area, near the Silverwolf Mountains. Look for a large crevasse (a big hole in the mountainside) with a beige tent set up next to it. There is a woman sitting by the tent who says she is cold. Light the lantern next to her to begin the trial. This woman is actually the witch in disguise.
After a short conversation, she disappears and a quest marker appears. Follow it to a small lake just south of the Silverwolf Mountains. The witch is standing in the middle of the water. If you have the Sanctum of Darkness Abyss Island unlocked (obtained near the start of the Fire witch unlock, or end of the Ice witch unlock), you can fly down easily. Speak with the witch at the lake to progress.
After completing the trial, a quest marker leads you to the Witch of Kindness's house. You can only enter after finishing the trial. Talk to Barry (the Witch of Kindness) inside to unlock her as your active witch, which is required to clear the Sanctum of Atonement.
The Sanctum of Atonement is located above the "A" in "Hernand" on the world map, southwest of Haunted Hill in the Hernand region. This Sanctum requires Barry (the Witch of Kindness) to clear. Enter the Sanctum and defeat all enemies inside, including flying enemies. Make sure none are left alive before progressing.
After the enemies are cleared and a cutscene plays, run forward into the doorway at the corner of the room. Look up to find the first puzzle piece, then use your grapple hook to grab it and seal it in the Kuku Pot. Cross over to the room on the opposite side and look up to find a cube (the second puzzle piece). Seal this one as well.
Head to the kiln in the center. Deploy the items from your Kuku Pot. For the reactor core, pick it up with the grapple and slot it into the left side of the kiln, then use a force punch to lock it in place. For the pillar piece, place it on top of the pillar that has a missing top section. Rotate it until leaves appear on the structure, then jump on top and use a force punch to lock it. Once both pieces are locked, the quest completes and you receive the Blueprint II: Kuku Watcher Pack.
You also need the regular Kuku Pack as a crafting ingredient. Its blueprint comes from the Sanctum of Penitence. This Sanctum uses the starting witch Elo (unlocked around Chapter 1 after recent patches).
Inside, clear all enemies. After the cutscene, run forward and use a triple force jump to get up to the higher platform. Go over the wall and find a staircase going down that leads to the puzzle piece. Seal it in your Kuku Pot, then fly back to the kiln.
Place the pillar at the back left of the kiln and line it up until leaves appear on the structure. Use a jumping aerial force palm to lock it into place. Once locked, the quest completes and you unlock the Kuku Pack Blueprint.
Electrical Components drop from the big mechs found in Delesyia, specifically in the bottom-right area near the bridge that connects the islands. The large mechs in this zone are usually found alone, making them easy to focus down one at a time. After defeating a mech, use your grapple hook on the downed chassis to pull out the electrical engine-looking item from the ragdoll armor pieces, then seal it with your Kuku Pot. There are plenty of mech enemies in this area, so farming all three should not take long.
Before you can collect Clockwork Insects, you need to craft and equip the regular Kuku Pack first (from the Sanctum of Penitence blueprint). Equip the Kuku Pack as your active ability using the right D-pad slot.
While farming enemies in Delesyia, you will get swarmed by large numbers of mechanical clockwork insects roaming the area. When they cluster around you, press L2 + R2 to activate the Kuku Pack. A blue light activates and sucks in all nearby insects. The cooldown on this ability is very fast, so you can use it repeatedly. A few minutes of farming in Delesyia will net you hundreds of clockwork insects, easily covering the 300 required.
The best location for farming Small Batteries is the Man's Steel Armory in Delesyia. As you clear mechs at this location, the percentage bar decreases and three small mechs spawn in waves constantly. These smaller mechs drop large quantities of batteries. After about 5 to 10 minutes of farming here, you should have hundreds of batteries, along with bonus Cogwheels and mechanical bugs.
The bridge area in southeast Delesyia (the same spot used for Electrical Component farming in Step 4) also works as a secondary location for Small Batteries, since the mech enemies there drop them as well.
The Abyss Cell: No. 0 was previously bugged but has been fixed in recent patches. It is found near the Scholar Stone Institute in the bottom-left area of the map. This is the same location where you first learn the Focused Force Palm ability (needed to break shimmering walls).
Go through the small hole near the Institute and look for shimmering or out-of-place looking walls. Enter focus mode by holding R3, then perform a focused force punch. Hover the cursor over the orb until it glows, then release to break the wall. Use your grapple hook to grab the Abyss Cell and seal it in your Kuku Pot. There are two cells available in this area, but you only need one. This area becomes accessible around Chapter 3 or 4 of the story.
The Kilnden Workshop is located just west of Hernand Castle. Fast travel there and speak with the craftsman. If you have not already crafted the regular Kuku Pack, do that first, since it is a required ingredient. Then select the Kuku Watcher Pack from the crafting menu. With all materials in hand (the Kuku Pack, 3 Electrical Components, 1 Abyss Cell: No. 0, 300 Clockwork Insects, and 200 Small Batteries), the craft completes immediately.

Once crafted, equip the Kuku Watcher Pack from your backpack. It must be equipped in both the left D-pad menu and the right D-pad menu (highlight it under the electrical category). Press L2 + R2 to deploy the two turret drones. They float out from Kliff's backpack and automatically target and attack nearby enemies. Press L2 + R2 again to recall the drones, and press it once more to redeploy them. There is no cooldown on deployment, and the turrets are completely invincible. No restrictions apply to when or where you can deploy them.
Burst Fire Drone: One of the two watchers fires rapid burst shots, concentrating damage on a single target in a pattern similar to a machine gun.
Spread Fire Drone: The second watcher fires a wide spread pattern, similar to a shotgun blast. This provides area coverage and helps deal with groups of enemies.
Autonomous Targeting: Both drones pick their own targets and fire independently. The player does not need to aim or direct them.
Invincible: The mini-watchers cannot be destroyed by enemies. Once deployed, they remain active until recalled.
Ranged Capability: The drones can target and hit flying enemies, making them valuable against airborne threats that melee weapons struggle to reach.
Against regular groups of enemies like bandits, the turret drones can handle them without much trouble on their own. Their true strength, however, becomes apparent in boss encounters. While the drones do not deal massive damage to bosses by themselves, the constant barrage of projectiles from both turrets passively builds up a massive stagger meter over time. Combined with the player's own attacks, the cumulative stun buildup can become overwhelming.
Against many bosses, the Kuku Watcher Pack can create what players call a "stagger-lock" situation. The continuous stream of fire from the drones keeps applying stun buildup even while the player is dodging, repositioning, or recovering stamina. This creates a serious imbalance in the fight, because the boss spends more time staggered and less time attacking.
For bosses with tight attack windows, having the drones chip away at the stun meter during the boss's recovery animations can be the difference between a clean kill and a drawn-out struggle. The ranged nature of the drones also means they can apply stun against flying bosses or enemies that spend time airborne. This is particularly useful in fights where the boss moves out of melee range frequently, since the drones continue attacking at range while the player waits for an opening.
According to a community crafting guide covering the Kuku Pot, the Kuku Watcher Pack is considered one of the strongest offensive Kuku crafts in the game. The blueprint becomes available after clearing the Sanctum of Absolution during Chapter 5, which unlocks both the Kuku Pack and Kuku Spear blueprint lines. Each sanctum is cleared by solving its light-reflection puzzle: reflect light into the restored front device, then apply heat as the reflector wheel rotates, turning the heat off whenever the beam is not over a target. Finishing the puzzle causes the device to spew out a Power Core used for sealing items into the Kuku Pot.
The Watcher Pack itself sits at the end of a short craft path: Kuku Pop leads to the Kuku Pack (which requires a Peddler's Pack as its base), and the Kuku Pack then upgrades into the Kuku Watcher Pack.

The transcript notes several reliable abyss enemy farm spots for Power Cores and Abyss Cells used throughout Kuku crafting, including for the Watcher Pack itself. Save before killing and reload to reroll drops when hunting a specific core:

When equipped in the backpack (weapon) slot, the Watcher Pack spawns two small robots that float on either side of the player. One fires a blaster and the other fires a shotgun. Raw damage is modest, but the real value is crowd control: the robots constantly interrupt enemies and build massive stun during boss fights. The guide author describes this as trivializing many boss encounters because the pack freely builds stun while the player dodges or repositions, and the effect applies to both story bosses and open-world optional bosses.
Deploy the drones at the start of every boss fight. Since there is no cooldown penalty, there is no reason to hold the ability in reserve.
The drones complement aggressive playstyles especially well. While the player pressures a boss with melee combos, the drones pile on additional stagger from range.
If you are struggling with a particularly difficult boss, try equipping the Kuku Watcher Pack purely for its stun contribution. Even if you play defensively, the drones will steadily build stagger on the boss.
When exploring areas with flying clockwork insects (such as around southeast Delesyia), the drones can clear the annoying airborne bugs without the player needing to engage them directly.
Farm all the mechanical materials in one trip. Head to southeast Delesyia near the bridge and focus on the big mechs for Electrical Components, while picking up Small Batteries, Cogwheels, and mechanical bugs from the smaller enemies along the way.
The Man's Steel Armory in Delesyia is the single best spot for batteries. The constant waves of small mechs make it far more efficient than roaming the open world.

The Watchers pack is not a damage piece. Its value is that the deployed drones build the boss stamina bar faster than you can on your own, which creates more consistent stagger windows. On heavy burst builds that rely on landing combos during stagger, such as the end-game turning slash two-handed sword build, more staggers per fight directly translates into more damage windows. Summon the pack before the encounter starts so the drones are already active when the fight begins.
