Overview

The Grey Wolf Bow is a bow in Crimson Desert and the starting ranged weapon for Kliff. Described as a rugged bow carried by Kliff from the beginning of the game, it reflects the practical, no-frills gear favored by the Greymanes mercenary band. The bow provides an Attack Speed bonus at Level 1, allowing for quicker draw and release.

As Kliff's default ranged option, the Grey Wolf Bow is the first bow most players will use. It cannot be sold, which makes it a permanent fallback weapon throughout the early game. Its Attack Speed bonus means arrows leave the bowstring faster, giving players a small but noticeable edge when trading shots with enemies before closing to melee range.

The Grey Wolf Bow is part of Kliff's starting equipment. It is already in his inventory at the beginning of the game and does not need to be purchased or crafted. Since it cannot be sold, it remains available as a backup throughout the entire playthrough. Players who want a purchasable bow with the same Attack Speed bonus should look at the White Wood Bow.

Refinement and Upgrades

Despite being a starting weapon, the Grey Wolf Bow can be refined up to 10 times at a Blacksmith. Early investment in refinement can keep it competitive well into the mid-game, since the stat gains from refinement apply on top of its existing Attack Speed bonus. The 5 Abyss Core slots allow further customization through a Witch vendor.

Combat Tips

The Attack Speed bonus on the Grey Wolf Bow makes it particularly effective when combined with archery skills that reward rapid fire. Evasive Shotwhich lets Kliff slide sideways while loosing an arrowbenefits from the faster draw speed because the recovery window between shots is shorter. Players who prefer a mobile, hit-and-run Marksmanship style will get the most out of this bow before upgrading to higher-tier options like the Sydmon Bow.

Because the Grey Wolf Bow shares identical stats with the White Wood Bowthere is no mechanical reason to replace it unless players want to free up the Abyss Core investments by purchasing and separately upgrading the White Wood Bow instead.

Attack Speed Category

The Grey Wolf Bow is the starting attack-speed bow you receive near the beginning of the game. At max Refinement it gains 2 levels of attack speed built into the weapon, placing it in the same stat category as other attack-speed bows such as the Tommasoan Bow and the Assyrian Bow.

Starting Bow Equivalence

Because every attack-speed bow ends at the same stat line once fully refined, the Grey Wolf Bow is functionally identical to the flashier attack-speed options at end-game. There is no stat reason to replace it if you are happy with its visual; swapping is purely a cosmetic decision. Dye it at a camp dye station or a city dyer to match your armour colours.
