The Golden Sword is a one-handed weapon in Crimson Desert. It is classified as Abyss Gear. With an Attack Power of 16 and an Attack Speed bonus at Lv. 1, it sits comfortably in the mid-tier of one-handed swords. What sets it apart from other weapons at this power level is its Refinement rating of 3, meaning it comes pre-refined out of the box. Players who find it do not need to spend any materials on the first three refinement tiers, saving a considerable amount of ore and Silver early on.
The weapon is obtained inside the Vault of Vengeanceone of the abyss islands along the Path of Providence. It cannot be purchased from any merchant or crafted at a Blacksmith. Because the Vault of Vengeance requires both the Nature's Grasp and Focused Shot abilities, the Golden Sword is only available to players who have progressed far enough to unlock those skills.

The Golden Sword is found inside the Vault of Vengeancean abyss island accessible through the Path of Providence. To reach the Vault, follow this route: Spire of the Starsthen Sanctorum of Insightthen Secret Garden, and finally the Vault of Vengeance itself. You enter the Vault via the Skybridge in the Secret Garden.
Inside the vault chamber, you will encounter a room filled with laser traps. Look up to find four glowing bullseye targets floating above you. Activate Focused Shot by drawing your bow, then use the Focus ability to slow down time. Mark all four bullseye targets while time is slowed, then release to fire arrows at all of them in rapid succession. If you hit all four targets within the time window, the laser trap deactivates and the Golden Sword becomes available on a pedestal in the center of the room.
After collecting the sword, the platform opens up and drops you into a lower area with additional laser traps. You can either wait for the lasers to shift into a passable pattern or simply roll through them and absorb the damage. Climbing the wall at the end leads to an Abyss Artifact and an Abyss Gate leading to the Courtyard of Precision.
The Golden Sword arrives at Refinement 3, which is unusual for a weapon obtained through exploration rather than crafting. Most picked-up weapons start at Refinement 0, meaning the Golden Sword effectively saves you the cost and materials of three refinement upgrades. It can be refined further up to the standard cap at any Blacksmith.
The weapon has 3 Abyss Core slots. Since the sword already has Attack Speed Lv. 1 as an innate bonus, consider slotting cores that add Critical Rate or raw Attack Power to round out the weapon's profile. Players who want a balanced build can use one core for Critical Rate, one for additional Attack Speed, and one for a defensive or utility effect like Spirit restoration.
The Golden Sword's Attack Speed Lv. 1 bonus makes it slightly faster than baseline swords, which improves combo fluidity and makes it easier to land hits during short attack windows. The speed advantage is subtle but noticeable when chaining light attacks against enemies who stagger briefly between your strikes.
Pair the Golden Sword with a shield for a classic sword-and-board setup, or use it in the main hand while dual-wielding with a dagger or mace in the off-hand. The pre-refined state makes this weapon a strong pick-up during the mid-game, especially for players who have not yet invested heavily in other sword upgrades.
