Overview
Southeast of the Hills of No Return in the Hernand region, there is a broken caravan location where players can find an Extra Large Bag that provides 10 additional inventory slots. According to community reports, this bag respawns every 7 in-game days, potentially allowing players to repeatedly expand their inventory up to the maximum of 240 slots (now expandable further via Private Storage camp upgrades).
This guide also covers a second gold-farming method: pickpocketing nobles at the Wildlife Park south of Demeniss. Nobles wearing animal masks can be pickpocketed for gold bars and money, providing a reliable source of income once you know the technique.
Broken Caravan Location
Finding the broken caravan requires navigating through the Hernand region. The directions below start from Greymane Camp, which is a common fast travel point in the area.
Fast travel to Greymane Camp in the Hernand region.
From Greymane Camp, head northeast past the main town.
Continue northeast past Rocker's Hill.
Cross the river and keep heading toward the Hills of No Return.
Use the fast travel point at the Hills of No Return if you have it unlocked. From there, head southeast.
Just off the road, you will find a broken caravan. Note: there is a second caravan nearby that is NOT the correct one. Look for the caravan that is further from the main road.
The correct caravan is slightly off the beaten path. If you reach one caravan but find nothing, look around the area for the other one. The bag is inside the caravan that sits further away from the road.
What You Find
Inside the correct broken caravan, you will find an Extra Large Bag. Picking up this bag immediately adds 10 inventory slots to your character. This is a significant boost to your carrying capacity, especially in the early and mid game when inventory management is a constant challenge.

Respawn Mechanics
Community reports indicate that the Extra Large Bag at this location respawns every 7 in-game days. If confirmed, this means you can return to the broken caravan on a weekly in-game cycle to pick up another bag, each time gaining 10 more inventory slots.
The maximum base inventory in Crimson Desert is 240 slots, with further expansion available through Private Storage upgrades at your camp. By repeatedly visiting this location, you can steadily increase your carrying capacity without spending any money or completing specific quests.
Important caveat: The 7-day respawn has been reported by community members but has not been officially confirmed by the developers. This behavior may be subject to changes in future patches. Check community forums for the latest information on whether this still works.
Tracking the timer: The in-game day cycle can be tracked by resting at camps or checking the time display. Mark your calendar (or set a mental note) after picking up the bag so you know when to return.
Noble Pickpocketing at the Wildlife Park
A second gold-farming method is available at the Wildlife Park south of Demeniss. This area is populated by nobles wearing animal masks who can be pickpocketed for valuable items including gold bars and money pouches.
How It Works
Travel to the Wildlife Park, located south of the city of Demeniss.
Look for nobles walking around the park wearing animal masks.
Use the Blinding Flash ability on a noble. This reveals the contents of their pouches, showing icons that indicate what each noble is carrying.
Look for the gold bar icon (displayed as three stacked gold bars) on a noble's pouch. This indicates that noble is carrying a gold bar.
Use pickpocketing on the noble with the gold bar icon to steal the gold bar.
Tips for Noble Pickpocketing
Use Blinding Flash first. Always reveal pouch contents before attempting a pickpocket. This ensures you target nobles who are actually carrying gold bars rather than wasting attempts on nobles with less valuable items.
Icon display bug. Some players have reported that the pouch icons may display incorrectly at times, showing the wrong item. If you pickpocket a noble with a gold bar icon and do not receive a gold bar, this may be a visual bug. Try again with a different noble.
Multiple nobles. The Wildlife Park has many nobles walking around. Scan several of them with Blinding Flash to find the ones carrying the most valuable items.
No permanent consequences. Pickpocketing nobles at the Wildlife Park does not appear to trigger lasting negative effects on your reputation or quest availability, though being caught in the act may draw attention from nearby guards.
Gold Bar Value
Gold bars are among the most valuable single items you can carry. They can be sold to merchants for a significant sum, making them one of the best items to target when farming for money. Combining the broken caravan visits (for inventory expansion) with noble pickpocketing (for direct gold income) creates an effective early-to-mid game wealth-building routine.
