Cloister of Ruination is the culminating faction quest of the Antumbra Order questline in Crimson Desert. After breaking all three sanctum seals by defeating Antumbra's Sword, Antumbra's Spear, and Antumbra's Staff, Kliff descends into the Cloister of Ruination to face Ator, the Antumbra Archon, in a climactic boss fight.

The Cloister of Ruination is located in the westernmost area of Pailune, near Silver Wolf Mountain. Access it by entering the Wayward Woods. The structure is distant from most fast-travel points, but after your initial visit, you can climb to the highest point next to the cloister to find an Abyss Cresset that serves as a fast-travel marker for return trips.
You must break all three seals before the cloister becomes accessible. This is done by completing the Darkness Over the Sanctum quest, which requires defeating:
Antumbra's Spear at the Sanctum of Revelation
Antumbra's Staff at the Sanctum of Solace
Upon defeating all three, you receive knowledge of "Ator, the Antumbra Archon" and the cloister seals break.
Head to the Cloister of Ruination in western Pailune. From the entrance at the top, glide down through the tower to reach the lowest floor. Ator, the Antumbra Archon, awaits at the deepest level.

Ator is the sealed final boss of the Antumbra Order quest line. This is a demanding fight that tests everything you have learned from the three sanctum encounters. Ator combines elements from all three Antumbra manifestations: melee strikes, ranged spear attacks, and magical staff abilities.
Ator, the Antumbra Archon, is classified as one of the three overwhelming beings in Crimson Desert. The other two are The Forgotten General and Beloth the Darksworn. Overwhelming beings represent the highest tier of boss encounters in the game, each gated behind multi-step questline prerequisites and offering unique endgame rewards.
Despite being one of the three overwhelming beings, Ator is considered easier than Beloth the Darksworn by many players. Ator performs slow, telegraphed moves and periodically summons floating orbs that are relatively easy to avoid.
The most effective strategy is to stun Ator using a Focused Charged Shot with fire imbue from your bow. A fire-imbued focus charged shot triggers both Volcanic Eruption and Flames of Judgment stagger effects. While Ator is staggered, empty your stamina with melee attacks. However, unlike the Forgotten General, Ator cannot be permanently stagger-locked. He will eventually recover and resume attacking.
When your stamina is depleted from mashing attacks during a stagger window, roll backward and enter Focus mode to refill your spirit bar. This gives you enough resources to fire another charged shot and start the next stagger cycle. Keep spirit food on hand as a backup for spirit recovery between rotations.

Ator periodically summons floating orbs during the fight. These orbs hover around the arena and deal damage on contact. Stay mobile when orbs are active and wait for them to dissipate before committing to damage windows. The orbs move slowly enough that simple lateral movement avoids them.
Equip your strongest gear and bring plenty of recovery items before entering the cloister.
After your first visit, use the Abyss Cresset at the cloister's highest point as a fast-travel waypoint if you need to return.
The three sanctum bosses serve as practice for the final encounter. If you struggled with any of them, review your gear and skills before attempting Ator.
