Villages and Settlements

Added 2 official map images
AION 2 has no capital city. Each faction's hubs are villages and camps inside its territories, many of which grew up as refuges from the Balaur. As of October 7, 2026 no Sanctum or Pandaemonium map appears in the Korean service's update notes from launch to October 2026, and the official guidebook's region pages list villages instead. This page collects what the official guidebook and the game's own text say about each one.
The guidebook's region pages also frame the two realms: the Elyos realm lies in the south of Atreia and its Daeva present themselves as elegant and holy, while the Asmodian realm lies in the north and its Daeva are a rough, warlike people with a bestial edge. See Factions: Elyos and Asmodian.
Settlement | Territory | What it is |
|---|---|---|
Dawn Legion Base | The Dawn Legion's secret base in Cantas Valley, hidden deep in the cliffs and used as a refuge from the Balaur. The Elyos story at level 10 starts here, and quest givers such as Nania, Luteros and Caelid work from it. | |
Wind Breeze Merchants HQ | Verteron | The headquarters of the Shugo Wind Breeze Merchants (산들바람 상회 본부), listed by the guidebook as a main Elyos village. Quest givers such as Luteros, Fio and Hiru work from it. |
Zumion Village | Verteron | A village formed around the Notos Legion by people fleeing the Balaur invasion, in the Altamia Canyon area where Meslamtaeda once fought Zumion, the first Daeva. A recent change in the canyon's terrain raised the sunken Zumion Temple and nearby ruins, which is changing village life. Close to Eldes Temple (엘데스 신전; provisional English), Kaisinel's temple, it was protected by a barrier the High Priest had set. |
Lacephin Village | Built where a mystical spring once stood; it fell to ruin after the Daeva of life disappeared and was rebuilt by Chloris and her group. Eltnen's Duty Scroll merchant is here, according to player guides. | |
Tsenka Merchants village (챈가룽 상단 마을) | Eltnen (by association) | Named among the Elyos villages in a Korean event of July 2026. The Tsenka Merchants run a branch office at the entrance to the Ruberein Hills. |
Settlement | Territory | What it is |
|---|---|---|
Safe Haven (도망자 마을) | Once home to herbalists and woodcutters, abandoned for years during the war, and now a hiding place for people chased by the Balaur or wanted for crimes. Asmodian quest givers such as Hadala work from it. | |
Quai Campsite | Altgard | The base of the Shugo Quai trading company (콰이링 무역단). It serves as the courier for Nemon, who supplies Ode across Altgard, and trades outside goods to Safe Haven and to Nemon. |
Nornir Assembly | Altgard | The residence and meeting place of Urd, who leads the Nornir of the forest. It became their new home as Nornir fleeing the Blades' attacks across Moslan Forest gathered here. |
Steel Hammer Merchants HQ | Altgard | A village built by the Steel Hammer Merchants. Once Altgard's logistics hub, a port where airships from the Abyss and every part of Asmodae docked; long fighting between the Balaur and the Daeva damaged its buildings and left only the wrecks of its airships. |
Patamor Village | Morheim's village on the Patamor Plains, where Verdandi settled. | |
Kromede's Island (크로메데의 섬; provisional English) | Morheim | A floating island formed by an Ode storm, on which Kromede built an orderly, prosperous settlement watched closely by her subordinates. Morheim's Duty Scroll merchant is here, according to player guides. |
The English names come from the game's own text (Dawn Legion Base, Wind Breeze Merchants HQ, Zumion Village, Lacephin Village, Safe Haven, Quai Campsite, Nornir Assembly, Steel Hammer Merchants HQ, Patamor Village). Safe Haven is matched to 도망자 마을 by the guidebook's description of it as a hiding place for fugitives. Kromede's Island has no English name in any source yet.
Directive merchants for Duty Quests scrolls, general merchants and warehouses; the Transparent Map overlay marks shops, crafting stations and warehouses separately.
Kibelisks and village teleport points; see Travel and Teleportation.
The territory Monolith used for Monoliths and Empyrean Traces.
Event merchants: Korean seasonal events in July and September 2026 placed their coin merchants in Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village, Lacephin Village, Safe Haven and Nornir Assembly, and Kromede's Island.
The Abyss has faction bases rather than villages. The guidebook names two in the lower layer, a base in the northeast (프리뭄 거점, Primum Base) and one in the southwest (테미논 거점, Teminon Base), and two in the middle layer, the eastern and western stems of Latesran (라테스란의 동쪽 줄기, 서쪽 줄기). None of these English renderings has appeared in an NCsoft English source, so treat them as provisional. See Reshanta.
World and Regions for the territories. Story and Lore for the setting. Travel and Teleportation for getting between hubs.
