This page covers October 2026 updates for the global Windows PC service of AION 2. The Korean and Taiwanese service has a separate patch schedule, documented on Patch Notes: October 2026. Changes below are distinguished from announcements awaiting maintenance.
The first weekly maintenance after global launch began at 11:30 PM PDT on October 6, 2026 (8:30 AM CEST on October 7). The notice was subsequently marked complete. The patch made the following changes.
Eligible Founder's Pack buyers can obtain their pack skins, titles and other covered items for every character on every server through a dedicated free section in the Shop. It remains available until a closure announcement. An item already owned cannot be bought again. The one-time membership and supply/styling chests remain outside the account-wide cosmetic entitlement.
Duplicate skins no longer consume the limit for paid skins. Removing duplicate entries from the skin list and discarding duplicate inventory items are planned follow-up changes. If a Founder item purchase fails, close the game client and try again.

Fixed map pins so the displayed maximum is 30.
Fixed the Asmodian Weekly Challenge Season Mission Daeva of Glorious Deeds not completing.
Fixed the duplicate Movement Controls setting under Settings > Key Settings > General.
Fixed emotes not triggering through their chat commands.
NCsoft announced two additional Europe servers for October 8 at 9:00 AM PDT / 6:00 PM CEST: Nathara for Elyos and Tassin for Asmodians. Instanced content, including dungeons, remains cross-server. See Servers and Regions for the regional lineup and Server Transfer for the announced October 14 transfer opening.
The October 8 European cloud outage was marked resolved later that day. Compensation is announced for the next maintenance; the announcement does not say the rewards have already been delivered.

Only players on the affected servers with an active membership receive an automatic one-day membership extension. Only those with active pet auto-loot on the affected servers receive a one-day auto-loot extension. Players on those servers also receive a Special Daeva Supply Chest by mail.

A server-stabilization maintenance is scheduled for October 8, 2026 at 11:30 PM PDT / October 9 at 8:30 AM CEST, lasting 1 hour 30 minutes and affecting all game services. The quest-wing changes below are scheduled for that maintenance and are not confirmed as live at the time of this update.

Each of the four quest rewards gains 500 Flight Power, for a total increase of 2,000 across them. See Aerial Combat and Flight and Wings for the mechanics.
Two new support answers describe general crash checks and a separate remedy for PresentInternal(SyncInterval) failed. Follow Crash and Fatal Error Troubleshooting for the exact launcher-specific folders and Steam Cloud setting; see Known Issues for other acknowledged problems.
