Eltnen is the Elyos territory added by the Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow update on July 1, 2026, on the Korean and Taiwanese build. It is the first expansion of the Elyos map beyond Verteron, and it is themed as a land losing its water: NCsoft frames it as the land where life and water vanished.

Its Asmodian counterpart is Morheim, and the two shipped together.
Finishing the hero quest line in Verteron spawns a spatial transfer portal in that territory. The portal checks character level, item level and combat power before it will carry you, so Eltnen is gated on progression rather than on story alone.
NCsoft's region material describes these sub-areas in Korean. The English names added below are the ones the game itself uses for the same places; they have not yet appeared in an NCsoft English announcement, so treat them as provisional.
Area | What it is |
|---|---|
Ruberein Hills (루브레인 구릉지) | The first area you reach coming from Verteron. The Chengarung merchant group, the largest Shugo trading outfit in the Elyos realm, runs a small branch office at its entrance. |
Eiron Hill (에이론 언덕) | A stretch that has kept more greenery than the rest, slowed in its decline by a Daeva of life who once stayed there. Only ruins and the traces of barracks remain, and the Lepharists comb the plain for a fallen Artifact. |
Lacephin Village (라세핀 마을) | Built where a mystical spring once stood. It fell to ruin after the Daeva of life disappeared and was rebuilt by Chloris and her group, who keep the central spring as a water source while Nikos and Chloris's people hold order. |
Eltnen carries the field layer NCsoft shipped with Chapter 1 across both new territories: Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths as reward structures, alongside the usual field bosses and travel network.
NCsoft has said the two new territories roll out across Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 rather than arriving complete, so the Eltnen on the live build is a partial map by design.
The game's location text fills in the backstory. The Ishtar Legion laid Eltnen waste, and the Life Daeva who held it paid heavily: the survivors withdrew to hidden outposts to rebuild, then disappeared when the Lepharists moved in. The Eltnen Barrier Tower collapsed, and in an annex of it Kion, the last of the Life Daeva, was able to ascend. Since then the Balaur have occupied the territory, the Lepharists run hidden research centers that process Drana into energy and breed test subjects, and a contaminated spring has fouled the groundwater. Refugees from Eiron Hill get along with the Shugo merchants and with Chloris, who rebuilt Lacephin Village; bandits and marauders live off what is left.
A selection of Eltnen's named field sites, as the game describes them. The names are the game's own English names and are provisional.
Site | What it is |
|---|---|
Hidden Lepharist Research Center | One of many hidden Lepharist labs, processing Drana into energy and breeding test subjects. |
Lepharist Special Operations Research Center | Home of the Lepharists' most fanatical special operations units, who test experiments on themselves. |
Life Awakening Site | An annex of the Eltnen Barrier Tower that sheltered the last Life Daeva; Kion ascended here. |
Fallen Haven | A cavern where the Life Daeva Tifus hid the bodies of the fallen. With AION fallen they could not return to Odyle, and the cave became contaminated. |
Sunken Ancient Legacy | A cavern on the outskirts of the Ruberein Hills, rumoured to hide a Life relic that feeds an endless pure spring. |
Ishtar Logistics Base | An old Ishtar Brigade supply base whose unexploded mobile bombs nobody dares to move. |
Defunct Creion Laboratory | Where the Creion researcher Malgerre tried to stop the desertification and turned himself into a monster. |
Drok the Outlaw's Den | Outlaws who led discontented Eiron Hill refugees out of their camp. |
Ratcatchers Base | A gang that kidnaps refugees from Lacephin Village and sells them. |
Golden Branch Stronghold Ruins | A former legion stronghold, now held by thieves who steal Odyle from refugees. |
Rogue Sky Fortress | The sky-island base of Rumer's outlaws on the Lankusis Plateau, every one of them a winged Daeva. |
Digunaka Forward Base | The base of Digunaka, a Balaur unit commander who uses Lepharist Drana energy to push past his own limits. |
Hidden Vein Outpost | An underground Lepharist outpost largely abandoned after a Krao vein was found beneath it. |
In the Korean build's July 2026 event, Eltnen's event merchant stood in Lacephin Village, and the event's list of Elyos villages also named 첸가룽 상단 마을 (the Chengarung trading village). See Strongholds and Sealed Dungeons, Monoliths and Empyrean Traces and Field Bosses for the territory's field content.
Eltnen is Korean and Taiwanese live-build content. NCsoft has not published which Chapter 1 content is present in the global build at launch on October 5, 2026, and the global build has been described as starting with a backlog of existing content to be paced out. Do not assume Eltnen is in the global launch map.
Verteron for the territory it connects to. Morheim for the Asmodian counterpart. Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow for the update itself. World and Regions for the world structure.
